The mood of the audience was pleasant when Harald Záboj made the kick off which started today's match. In the 3rd minute, Joan Miró got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. After 10 minutes of play, U21 Spain's Bastia Redondo made it 0-1 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Libor Fialka was left in no man's land by his defense there! The audience thought a goal was coming when Ctirad Tkadlec got free with Inko Lopez de Toro in the 13th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. In the 15th minute, Bastia Redondo made a precise shot to the right of Libor Fialka. U21 Czech Republic's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 0-2. The U21 Spain fans' excitement grew in the 23rd match minute when U21 Spain's Joan Miró looked to have a clear shot with the ball near the goal. The shot wasn't hard, but the ball still rolled over the goal line to make it 0-3 before the goalkeeper had a chance to intervene. Bastia Redondo struck a weak shot in the 34th minute. Libor Fialka didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for U21 Spain. U21 Spain's attack was well implemented in the 34th minute, but when Joan Miró was about to shoot he didn't get a good hit on the ball and it hit the crossbar and flew over. When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Joan Miró made a kick off. U21 Czech Republic's Libor Fialka played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Joan Miró in the 57th minute of play. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Joan Miró in the 58th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Libor Fialka prevented the ball from getting in the gole. In the 60th minute, Marcelo Lopez de Toro fired away a shot on goal. He put a little to much spin on the ball and sent it just wide of the right post. In the 64th minute, Joan Miró made a precise shot to the right of Libor Fialka. U21 Czech Republic's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 0-6. Inko Lopez de Toro took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Harald Záboj, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. U21 Czech Republic were awarded a corner in the 69th minute after U21 Spain's defender lost control of the ball, allowing it to roll out over the line. Adam Šach took the corner. In the 71st minute, U21 Spain's Vasko Sand dribbled the ball into the box and hit a shot with the outside of his foot, sending the keeper the wrong way. 0-7. In the 78th minute, U21 Spain's Joan Miró ran free of his marker and smoothly shot the ball into the goal behind Libor Fialka. Libor Fialka yelled at his defense, as they had left him out to dry. 0-8. In the 85th minute, Vasko Sand left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The U21 Spain fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 0-9. The audience was convinced that Joan Miró's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Libor Fialka was relentless in the 88th minute of the game. After some careless play in the U21 Czech Republic defense, Joan Miró kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Libor Fialka. The U21 Czech Republic fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Libor Fialka should have stopped the shot. U21 Spain's Vasko Sand got a good chance for a goal in the 92nd minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Peri De la Rosa's late challenge caught a U21 Czech Republic's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Peri De la Rosa helped the player get up and apologised. U21 Spain's fans were overjoyed with their teams well-earned victory and stayed in the stadium long after the final whistle to celebrate the win.
