Frédson Leal fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 14th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Samet İlkan having to interfere. Refik Halit Bayezit might have been able to make a better finish in the 16th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Sérgio Monteiro. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Refik Halit Bayezit ran back to his position shaking his head. Thanks to some nice moves Michael Douglas could shoot a difficult shot in the 28th minute, which Samet İlkan however easily saved by the left post. 32 minutes into the game, Michael Douglas recieved a splendid long ball, split the defenders, and gently placed the ball to the left of Samet İlkan. Michael Douglas showed that you don't have to tear a hole in the net to score, 1-1. An unexpectedly hard shot by Refik Halit Bayezit in the 36th minute of play forced U21 Brazil's goalkeeper Sérgio Monteiro to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Sérgio Monteiro showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Refik Halit Bayezit in the 37th minute of the match. After having played for 41 minutes, Michael Douglas managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. U21 Brazil's supporters crossed their fingers, but Michael Douglas was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Hernani Toscano to strike the kick off in the second half. If Tugay Zahir had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 62nd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. In the 67thth minute of the game Refik Halit Bayezit who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but U21 Brazil's Sérgio Monteiro was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. Claudinei Rocha kicked well hit freekick during the 71st minute of the match. In the 72nd minute, Claudinei Rocha hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. An unexpectedly hard shot by Hernani Toscano in the 78th minute of play forced U21 Turkey's goalkeeper Samet İlkan to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. U21 Turkey's Murathan Can was substituted for Nurtekin Rukni. U21 Turkey's Jack Sparrow was substituted for Vural Cevahir. Murathan Can could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 82nd minute of the match, but Sérgio Monteiro made a huge save. Sérgio Monteiro took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Murathan Can, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Jack Sparrow could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 95th minute of the match, but Sérgio Monteiro made a huge save. In the 96th minute Murathan Can shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Sérgio Monteiro saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Sérgio Monteiro showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Murathan Can in the 99th minute of the match.

The U21 Brazil supporters were disappointed that their team didn't take anything from the match, despite matching U21 Turkey's performance. The match ended with a win for U21 Turkey.
