Örs Gerencsér showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Carver Cochrane, who was totally free with the ball in the 11th minute. Emil Gera took the ball and in the 15 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Arjen Lucassen. Arjen Lucassen dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 1-0. When Carver Cochrane came up free with the goalie in the 20th minute, the Australia fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Carver Cochrane couldn't finish the play. Márton Zsinka fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 25th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Arjen Lucassen having to interfere. In the 27th minute the ball was on its way in behind Hungary's goalkeeper Örs Gerencsér, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. Australia's Arjen Lucassen played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Tibor Vincze in the 31st minute of play. When Braedan Block came up free with the goalie in the 34th minute, the Australia fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Braedan Block couldn't finish the play. An unexpectedly hard shot by Carver Cochrane in the 38th minute of play forced Hungary's goalkeeper Örs Gerencsér to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. When the match had gone on for 45 minutes, Márton Zsinka took a quick shot and it went in 2-0 without a chance for Arjen Lucassen to make any attempt to save it. Af the end of the first half the score was 2-0. The first half had gone as expected for the home team.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Braedan Block stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. Örs Gerencsér stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Braedan Block's shot from short distance in the 52nd minute. The audience thought a goal was coming when Braedan Block got free with Örs Gerencsér in the 56th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. 61 minutes into the match, Australia's goal looked a bit too open when Márton Zsinka came free, but Arjen Lucassen reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Arjen Lucassen showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Emil Gera in the 62nd minute of the match. After 63 played minutes Australia got a freekick which was hit by Jake Fortington. Australia made a substitution. John Harkness replaced Biggs Hauschildt. After a rather tough play, Australia's Jake Fortington got a free kick in the 65th minute. Berne Brady's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Örs Gerencsér read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 72nd minute of play. Australia made a substitution. Doyle Knevett replaced Carver Shorten. After 78 minutes Hungary's defender was forced to head the ball over the line for a corner. It was John Harkness who took care of the corner kick. Arjen Lucassen was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. Arjen Lucassen showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Márton Zsinka in the 85th minute of the match.
