But to his dismay, Carlos Taillade quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 2-1. Conner Carragher sent away a hard shot on goal in the 39th minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. The audience thought a goal was coming when Conner Carragher got free with Mickaël Landreau in the 39th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Pacôme Daire made a kick off. Bryant Reina made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Pacôme Daire in the 52nd minute of play. An unexpectedly hard shot by Conner Carragher in the 55th minute of play forced France's goalkeeper Mickaël Landreau to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Bryant Reina took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Carlos Taillade, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Conner Carragher blasted a shot towards the goal in the 65th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Mickaël Landreau having to make a save. 65 minutes into the match, France's goal looked a bit too open when Conner Carragher came free, but Mickaël Landreau reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line.
