MLS Cup

Anyone following the playoffs? LA looks pretty dominant, and they really want to win considering Beckham is likely to retire. Sporting KC looks good too. They have a lot of young talent.

1. LA is looking really good. You really can tell Beckham is dying for the MLS Cup.
2. Beckham is NOT going to retire... No idea why you even said this. Nearly every team in the world wants Beckham in their club; why on Earth would he retire when they are willing to pay him millions upon millions to play a game?
3. Sporting KC may be looking good, for now, but when they face a good Western side they will be thrashed (meaning they will lose by 3+ in the MLS Cup finals.)

I think LA will win it.

I heard speculation on Fox Soccer that Beckham would retire, and he's 36 now. Regardless, this has been his best year in the MLS, so I could see him continue playing a few more years.

If Sporting KC (or Houston) gets thrashed in the MLS cup final, it will be because they're playing LA in LA's home stadium. I doubt they lose by 3+ though. Sporting outscored Real Salt Lake 2-1 in their two games combined and played LA to a draw the last time.

Anyway, we'll know who's in the finals soon enough. LA should crush Salt Lake (Kyle Beckerman sucks), but the KC/Houston match should be close.

LA vs Houston. My guess is LA 4-2.

LA 1-0 Houston. I'm happy for Landon Donovan, and it's good to see Beckham's decision to play MLS pay off. Now maybe someone like Frank Lampard will want to play in Kansas City. I can dream, can't I?

I doubt it that Lampard will join the MLS...
