The first thing I would advise is to read these two threads, they will help you understand your finances a bit more, like sorting your ground out to be at it's most cost effective, playing regular friendlies etc.

It is well worth completing the MZ Official tutorial (Help>Tutorial), as not only will it help you understand the game a bit more, but also you can earn some extra money for your team at the same time.

As for you bank balance:
If total balance sinks below zero for five Saturdays in a row (the day of ManagerZone’s bankruptcy checks), your club will be declared bankrupt and you will be released from your contract.
During this five-week period, ManagerZone’s bankruptcy proceedings will attempt to help you get out of financial trouble by issuing warnings and taking measures to reduce your expenditure (e.g. sacking coaches and closing down your Youth Academy).
Week 1 - You receive a warning that you are in risk of going bankrupt
Week 2 - You receive a warning that you are in risk of going bankrupt
Week 3 - Coaches leave your club, the youth academy is closed down.
Week 4 - You receive a warning that you are in risk of going bankrupt
Week 5 - Your team is declared bankrupt
If your team goes back into positive territory on the day of a bankruptcy check, the five-week check is cancelled until the next time your balance falls below zero, when it will start from the first week once more.
However, if your Total Assets figure is still in negative territory in the fifth week, your club will be declared bankrupt and your management reign will come to an end.
Good luck
John

Whilst you do generate money from playing games, cup games and friendlies, this money is negligible compared to the money you can make buying/selling players.

Added to this the money you can make longer term on training youths, that is how the majority (there have been a few known players who have solely traded their way up the ladder).

Investment, as in real life, is best done over a decent time period.

i took a look over your team buddy and i can offer some rather radical suggestions. bear with me:

you have a lot of seniors and no youth. this means all camps are much more expensive, and their salaries are more than if they were youth to boot. youre investing in the stadium and youve made no stupid transfers so you're in better shape than i was starting out.

since youre up against inactives it seems theres no need for a developed team anyway. this is the perfect time to sell off all deadweight, fire the rest and develop your talent in-house. i'd make two piles of players, guys to keep, and guys to dump.

how do we decide? two things are important. players that come with the squad initially train like 32 year olds throughout their careers. your youth will out-perform them within 2 to 3 seasons. second, ask whether or not the senior you have has potential to take a starting slot. you want to slowly increase your base skill requirements. have speed, stamina, and control minimums of 5 maybe, then 6, and so on. if a player is 24 now and needs 4 balls to reach that 5 minimum you can bet he wont be worth it one the youth are through a few camps.

all keeping prospects see through till theyre maxed, a high keeping skill will bring you a decent bundle of money. if you cut down your seniors to your starting 11, your keeping prospects, and a couple prospects your salary overhead will drop significantly. this will allow you to generate income more comfortably. if you can sell your guys rather than fire them then you're looking at finances for your stadium and player development.
