Is it time to reconsider further MZ involvement?

As title states, would you like to participate in explaining what happened? Below is a great example of in how bad state MZ currently is. Please share your thoughts, maybe there's something that I am missing. I'm always keen to learn something new :) Season 89.2 was supposed to be a great season for my team in U18 World League (div. 1.1). My team's value is never the highest but it's never the lowest. Looking at my team's total balls, skills, form and experience it's exactly where it should be. [b]A bunch of statistics first:[/b] First half of the season was simply the best time ever for my team. I've scored 31/33 points, winning [b]10 out of 11[/b] games. Everything worked perfectly, there was [u][b]not a single[/b][/u] game where my team had less SoT than my opponent's. In first 11 games I had 147 SoT vs 51 opponent's. That's nearly 3 times as much. Single opponent's best SoT was 8, while mine was 22. In total, I scored 35 goals and allowed only 7 goals. My goal ratio was [b]23,81%[/b] (goals/SoT), while my opponent's was [b]13,73%[/b]. My GK saves ratio was [b]84,31%[/b] (GK saves/opp's SoT), while my opponent's was [b]67,35%[/b] (GK saves/SoT). The two hardest games were 10 vs 8 SoT and 9 vs 7 SoT. First one I've won 3-1, the second one we had a draw 1-1. The single game where I scored the most goals (7) was equally the worst game for SoT (9). That's [b]77,78%[/b] goal ratio. Then magic happens. Games 12 - 17 (6 games) are one of the biggest scams that I've ever seen in history of MZ. My team had 74 SoT vs 36 opponent's. That's still a great number as it's 2 times as much. Single opponent's best SoT was 8, mine was 15. In total I scored 7 goals and allowed 13 goals. My goal ration dropped to [b]9,46%[/b] (7/74), while my opponent's increased to a very high number [b]36,11%[/b] (13 goals/36 SoT). My GK saves ratio was [b]63,89%[/b] (GK saves/opp's SoT), while my opponent's was [b]79,73%[/b] (GK saves/SoT). The two dumbest games were 13 vs 3 SoT and 15 vs 7 SoT. Both lost, 0-1 and 1-3. In 5/6 games I had double-digit SoT, but suddenly it didn't matter as my team couldn't find the net while the opponent's didn't have the problem. A few extras: - In GW13 I exchanged one 16-yrs old youth to 17-yrs old as the total's ball number difference was too huge to pass. Chemistry theory? - SIM's logic changed during season? - Was the SIM making my games harder on purpose, just to give me an additional challenge? After such a disappointment I'm on the verge of leaving the game or at least taking a long break as this is one of the biggest scams in my gaming history. And I play games. A bunch of statistics first:

In first 11 games I had 147 SoT vs 51 opponent's. That's nearly 3 times as much.
Single opponent's best SoT was 8, while mine was 22. In total, I scored 35 goals and allowed only 7 goals.
My goal ratio was 23,81% (goals/SoT), while my opponent's was 13,73%.
My GK saves ratio was 84,31% (GK saves/opp's SoT), while my opponent's was 67,35% (GK saves/SoT).
The two hardest games were 10 vs 8 SoT and 9 vs 7 SoT. First one I've won 3-1, the second one we had a draw 1-1.

Well..what can I say..in short..sim has always have that thing where it makes you feel that results are against you! Specially if you go hardcore on managerzone. Everytime I start to get together a good team I always get results where I feel that sim was unfair towards me. I remember my last try with seniors where I had 22 shots for me against 10 and I lost 0:4. Ofcourse you can always find weaknesses in my team, but still result like those make you feel that it was unfair. All I can say that I feel sorry for you. But we, hardcore managers, have had periods in MZ where we feel that results are against us. I had the worst case in MZ history, National Cup Final U18 a long time ago, after taking 25+ shots on my opponent who didn't even cross midfield, on the minute 94 of the game a player from my opponent runs at the speed of a crippled turtle from midfield while all my players just bump into him without being able to get the ball, he shoots, he scores, end of the game.... final stats 25/30 shots for my team, one for my opponent. That's one game that really got stuck in my memory but oh well, I got something to remember and laugh about I guess. As for performance on individual leagues I already explained it on a different thread and I'll do copy/paste here: There is a handicap you get assigned at the start of each different competition, just to explain it easily let's assign a numerical strenght value to each team, let's say yours is 70 and your oppenent is 50, now on each competition you get a positive or negative handicap that can range from 1 to 10, so on the "Irish Elite Cup" your handicap is +5 and your opponent is +10, in this case your team value is 70+5=75 and your opponent 50+10=60 so even if both got a positive value there's a considerable strenght difference. Now lets say one the official league you got a -5 and your opponent a +10 again, that means your team is 70-5=65 and your opponent is 50+10=60... your team is still stronger but not by much so a draw or even losing is a posibility. This is a theory I come up with, nothing official, doesn't have to work exactly as I explained but after watching so many games since 2006 I'm pretty sure is close enough, it explains why you can play scout matches, win 10 games and then play the official game and lose by a few goals, that's because there's no handicap on scout games, many managers see this and think the SIM for the league is different than other competitions (heard that one many times), is the same ol' SIM but the handicap you get is varies from competition to competition, that's the reason sometimes on a cup your team underperforms or overperforms and if you play enough and pay enough attention you should have notice this behaviour. @Darkline - I agree with you but I also think this happens at a player level. Call it confidence (+1/-1), it really wouldn’t have to be a lot to make a major difference. Imagine then the leveling scenario you outlined above but your striker also has a negative differential. In the league this impact definitely lasts more than 1 game so (knowing every club will experience this to a degree) the best you can hope for is spotting when you’ve entered a negative spiral early and limiting the damage/ rotating your main striker and cb. I definitely haven’t worked it out but I’ve stopped selling up early on the basis that if you ride it out you sometimes get the inverse benefit.
