How Much Money?

I know there are a few teams on here who go right back to the start of ManagerZone. How much money do you have in the bank? I have played for about 2.5 years and have got €20m. Is this peanuts compared to others?I know there are a few teams on here who go right back to the start of ManagerZone.

20M is pretty good amount. The most I had is current 19M, I play since 2009. You save it then you spend it etc. Money goes quickly this days as transfers are not cheap :)20M is pretty good amount. I'm at about $17M USD, and not entirely sure how to spend it. Winning the domestic league isn't challenging so I've not tried for a few seasons I've bought some young promising players, which I train & sell for profit. That's how I've accumulated the amount so far What would you do in my position? I’d aim to be competitive in senior world league. Build a Uxx team and bring them through. Try and have success as a Uxx team and a senior team. Winning domestic leagues in countries with few users isn’t very rewarding, try and expand onto a more global scale. Having a competitive (on a world scale) U21 team would require a lot more money. It’s not widely played but the users that do at a high level seem to pay ridiculous amounts of money for young players and have good resources.

That makes sense. If I went on to build a good senior team on World League level, how would the weekly expenses look like do you reckon? Obviously this means having a bit older players = higher salaries. So I'm curious of what top teams in various countries have as expenses and how big of a squad you'd need approx.

That makes sense. If I went on to build a good senior team on World League level, how would the weekly expenses look like do you reckon? I have a top U23 team atm and I run at a small loss every week. I think most top senior teams would too and mine did when I had them. I rely on selling project players, tours rewards, cups run etc to make money in the season. All my team are visable if you want to check it out. Just one model I guess to rebuild. Sold my competitive senior team before they all deteriorated. Invested about 45million into the guys I have now plus at least a few million a season into training camps. I won my U23 National Cup and Season Cup last year at 22. I can’t see anything but bad lack stoping me repeating that again. It’s a very patient game so rebuilding I wanted success along the way so I aimed to have a competitive U23 team and hope to have some deep cup runs. Next season at 24 I’ll sell anyone who isn’t a long term senior team player or upgrade slowly position by position. I have a heap of decent 18-21 year olds who will eventually generate profit for my senior team when I sell them. In 3 seasons come 27 most of my team should hit 9/10 experience and I’ll have a really solid senior team. That’s my plan very basically outlined.

Thanks for the comments and really interesting to hear. I’m no Mike Ashley and didn’t set out to make virtual money but recently sold most of my team to rebuild. I think I’ll take a stab at a UXX team and see how that goes. Not surprised some teams have excess of 100MThanks for the comments and really interesting to hear.
