Didn't lose my team after 70+ days of inactivity. Wondering why.

Let me start by saying that this happened to my hockey team, as I didn't use to own a football one. I'm posting here because the hockey Q&A sees little to no traffic and whatever principle kept my team alive should also work in football, right?

So here's the thing, I stopped playing at some point in 2011 and barely logged-in four times from that date all the way up to September 2020. You can even tell when these log-ins happened because my team was awarded a league trophy as it was the only "active" team that season.
Now, simple math will tell you that a mere four log-ins won't be enough to keep the team afloat through nine years, assuming the 70 days rule works, so my question is what kept the team attached to my account?
I have seen some old abandoned teams that are still attached to users accounts, while others in the same condition have been assigned to the mz_dummy_user. I'd like to know what's the key element that makes such difference? Only thing I can think of is that my account had power tokens stored and unused, so perhaps that's what keeps the team-account link alive?

Thank you in advance.

I’m confused by the question as it says your team has only been under management since 06-10-2020? Is what your saying that why were you still able to log on to your old username and start a new team?

As I said in the first paragraph, this happened with my hockey team that has been under managment since 26-08-2008.
I'm asking here under the assumption that football works the same way and because this forum is way more active than its hockey counterpart.

I’d have no idea about hockey unfortunately. I’d maybe think because you have an active football account somehow it’s registered some of those log in’s as hockey too. No idea though, maybe someone will have an answer

It has been a long time since teams are no longer lost to inactivity, but to bankruptcy. You must have had enough hockey money to cover your weekly expenses during all this time.

In football, however, the same should not have happened and so he went bankrupt and was assigned a new team.

On the other hand, "mz_dummy_user" is usually the status that is assigned to users who request to close the account or are suspended for irregular activities. I don't know if that status is temporarily assigned to teams that go bankrupt, and then when they log back into the game and assign a new team, they recover the user. That is my speculation, I am not sure.

Thank you, yes, that would make sense. I didn't know about the inactivity rule being gone.
I sold the whole team and closed the youth academy. Coaches eventually left and with a stadium fully built the team must have became self sustainable.
