Why is my striker kicking instead of heading?

Hi i'm starting to play wing tactic. Play 10 years but never was an expert for this formation. I have a quick question, got decent striker, 10 play inteligence, 10 heading, 9 ball controll. 8/8 speed stamina. I've noticed that my striker instead of heading after cross is gettin the ball on his leg and run and then shoot. Maybe he is too close to the goal? Below my tactic, yellow ones are mine. Strikers in wing tactics probably only head the ball 1/3 or 1/4 of the time. Depends on a lot of variables but mainly the delivery of the cross. If the cross is pressured the delivery can be sent in early when a striker isn’t in position to score a goal with their head.Strikers in wing tactics probably only head the ball 1/3 or 1/4 of the time. The problem can be the winter or the position of the strike. This way of attack it is no so simple as it seems you have to find the best position.
