So, i'm training this player, with 4 star HP on Keeping and Stamina in my academy, and his training speed is only 1 star.
I've noticed his development being painfully slow, but i gotta ask, will the player be as slow as this always?
And are there any other downsides to this i'm not aware?

He will always be a slow trainer.
Keeping, typically is the slowest skill to train so this will be further exaggerated too.

Well, you have some hope though. The Scout Report article says -
''Youth training speed. This will indicate how fast the player will train as a youth. A player who trains slowly as a youth (compared to other youths) may train much better as a senior (compared to other seniors).''
So, your player might train faster during his Senior years. But then, the keeping training is going to be really slow, because you'll be training him in that during his youth years, and like chucky said, keeping is already a very slow-training skill.

I would suggest then yo focus on other attributes now, and putting him on goalkeeping inly after 18

I disagree, you’d rather max keeping out as soon as possible. If he maxes at 8 or 9 you can sell him straight on. Anything less throw in the bin rather than find that out at 23 when it’s all too late

But, a 4 star high potential rating is going to almost always mean 10 in those skills, at worst a 9

A 9 ball keeper is even useless in this game though. No point training a keeper after they max at 9.

Well, they do sell at pretty fine prices, provided the time is right, and you know which 'audience' to target :)

A 9 ball keeper selling well? Can’t make any more than 300k and if you remove salary and training camps your running at a loss if that’s a plan.

All are 9 ballers in GK.
Some of them had been bought at high prices by me earlier, only bcoz they were unmaxed at 8 in keeping (at the time of buying them). I still managed to sell all of them for comfortable profits, despite all having maxed at 9.

Ridiculous that people would pay nearly a million AUD for a 9 keeper.
Well done turning decent profit on a few

Yeps, I know it's ridiculous :) But like i said earlier, if you know which audience to target, it's easy.
