Mz too expensive?

Badge image
Just renewed my membership and just thinking how expensive this game is. Works out as expensive as an xbox live gold membership yearly. Absolutely love playing this game, and love spending every minute of every day on it but i just cant help but think its so over priced to be able to be a member and have all the benefits! Would it not be more beneficial to reduce the prices of membership and power tokens so they are more affordable and more people would potentially pay for them? Iv been playing this game since 2003 and im sure the prices were similar back then?!

What do people think?

Absolutely , I agree with you.

İf it can be more affordable , many users would potentially pay for them. This event , it will contribute to the development of the game.

İn my opinion , they will examine it.

Regards

Doubt it, MZ is a game with very little new user attraction now and has had a steaily declining userbase for at least the last 7 or 8 year. It's a very mature game which can only live off the recurring revenue of the existing user base.

Prices cuts now simply reduces revenue.

For example a 25% reduction in the cost of PT's would require a 33% increase in the number of tokens bought to get back to break even. There just isn't anywhere near the slack in the userbase to pick that up.

There's a chance people might be signing of for the game and don't think is good value for the money so they don't stick around... they could do a little experiment and maybe offer reduced price tokens to new teams to see if the retention rate increases and if it might be worth it to consider reducing prices or not.

I know the game has been around for a long time & all that, but I'm always a bit surprised about the declining numbers, specially when you take in consideration how popular some offline football managers are, I mean games like FM sell one million copies, of course that's a more complex game, they have a big company like Sega backing them up and they have more publicity and all, but what I'm saying is that the interest in this type of game is there and I think that with all it's flaws this still is the best online football manager game.

I find that the price of Power Tokens is too expensive!

I don’t feel you get value for money!

Just my opinion

Maybe rather than paying less for club membership we should get a few more free cups.
Perhaps we could have a club members cup.

I think it's fine!

As of free cups, @superdad123, every country get 1 for free each season if you ask for them!

As I returning player (I played for about 4 years from about 2009) I must say I was surprised at how expensive the game has remained. There are a few incentives to encourage new players to contribute (I think I paid £5 for a few months membership and other things). However the gaming landscape has changed immeasurably since managerzone settled on its payment structure and it is probably too late in the day to change things.
As others had said the game is dependent on those long term players who they can guarantee will keep playing annual subscriptions. As long as they keep playing the game will keep making some kind of profit and so will continue to exist.
At this stage I feel radial price change to entice more people to invest in the game and attract new members would be suicide. I think that ship sailed probably about 10 years ago.

The game is less attractive for someone Who never spent any cent for playing here. We don't need to cheat ourselves. There is not many free options. If you say: 1 free cup is something nice during all season, You're wrong then. I wanted to fight about free senior National Cup but nobody listened me before and I'm 100% sure You will never do this for us. I can understand this is free game but if we close just to League and friendly matches We will lose motivation to play longer xD

To be honest with you, there is not one good, fair, not pay to win or half free game anywhere :)

i was an active member since 2003 untill somewhere in 2017 i think, paying constantly for both football and hockey.

I became inactive back then, and was wondering to come back now. Sadly the price to come back is just too high.

if even i, who was a member so long, don't want't to pay the price they want, then how do you expect some new guy will pay this. It is just too high.

And without paying is has no use to play (no maxings/training graphs on the transerlist make the disadvantage too big).

too bad.
