I recently (two seasons ago now) sold my senior team. As they were aging I only managed to get 30mill AUD for the lot. With this money I bought the best 11 U22 players I could with that limited funds, who all showed some potential with luck. Last season they all went to camp, I got pretty lucky with most maxing and if I was to sell them all now I’d probably get 50Mill AUD. I ran 7th in the U23 season break Cup and won my national U23 cup along the way with a team of 22 year olds. U23’s can be very rewarding quickly if done the right way. My intention was to buy the bases of a senior team and mould them over seasons. By 27/28 my side should be pretty good and hopefully I’ll still have 8 of my 12 now with upgrading a few on the way. It’s the only way I thought I could re-build quickly while not losing patience or interest in the game along the way, still sharing in a few win’s here and there. I suggest you do this also! You’ve had some success with U23 now have a crack at senior level. Keep a few of you U23’s and build a team around them.I recently (two seasons ago now) sold my senior team.
