Keeper question GK9 vs GK10 when to switch

Badge image
Hi ppl just got a quick question i have two keepers in my team a gk with 10 balls and 1 with 9 in keeping

but the gk with 9 balls has 8 in sta and 8 in speed followed by 4 in PI (training now for 5)and 3 in BC

now the one with 10 balls has 4 in sta (training for 5 now) 1 in speed and 2 in PI and 0 in BC

which keeper do i use for games how important are the secondary skills and most importantly if it is the 9 ball keeper for now when do i make the switch ??

bit of background i have been using the 10 keeper as i just reached the 9 balls on the other keeper this morning so any help would be great thanks :)

p.s 9 ball keeper is maxxed in keeping/sta/speed

Personally i would play the 10 ball keeper over the 9 ball keeper

No one can say for sure but personally I would first like to know the experience balls to see whether the 9 baller has any chance - secondary skills balls could justify a switch but experience counts more.

10@ gk everytime!

why dont you try the 6 ball keeper? They don't make much difference anyways. They just sit there and the ball goes right into their arms.

I watched in on 4D.

The difference that one keeping ball creates for a keeper is a lot more than the difference that one tackling ball creates for a defender or a difference that one shooting ball creates for a forward.
If you are asking for the best option, I would sell both and buy another 10 ball keeper with a higher side skill balls such as ball control, play intelligence, speed and stamina. Till last week my age average first eleven was 24, having a 31 years old keeper with 10 keeping , which is cheaper to find, this week I replaced him with a 22 year old keeper with 10 keeping,7 speed and 9 stamina which is a more expensive but long term plan. If selling and buying is not an option for you , than go with the higher keeping balls.
Hope that helps.
Feel free to ask on keepers and keeping :)

whatever you do, keep in mind that in the last couple of seasons there's the "random keeper behavior" modifier in effect

this means that you can see an excellent keeper flop and a mediocre one become the MVP
(this doesn't mean that it happens all the time though...so the best bet is to always have a top keeper guarding your posts)

10 gk + 6 exp >>> 9 gk + 3 exp. No matter the rest of the secondaries...

Yes I'd stick the 10 ball keeper in goal and the 9 ball keeper out on the wing!!he's the perfect winger basically hah

Too bad if you're playing short pass due to no heading striker :D

I Usually train it after the other 10's, but no idea if it actually does help much :P

Says the Crew member who won Allsvenskan and the Swedish cup just a couple seasons ago :P You know us Norwegians make jokes about you Swedes, but you're know better :D

Jokes aside, have you ever seen a goalie dribble or use his feet moving the ball forward? My theory is that BC is slightly more useful than heading and shooting for a GK. I also think that handling the ball with his hands is covered by the keeper skill, while his cross balls technique is coverer by... cross balls. Thus i'll rather train him in set pieces after the 5 obvious skills. At least he will do some goal kicks, which in fact are set pieces, every game. And you'll also leave another open spot on your BC station on your training field.

Haha that is funny actually... my goalie back then:

He arrived with 10 BC, nothing I trained and not sure if it helped him to handle the ball any better :D Got him in after a couple of seasons to strengthen the goalie position instead of playing the club icon Ivan Turina H

Nothing is better then 10,but i believe that a goalie with 9 balls in keeper and a lot of balls in other relevant skills is better better with 10 in goalkeepeing and almost nothing else

I've got a 9 Ball Keeper with 4 speed/stam and a 10 ball keeper with no secondaries. Have taken the plunge while in Div 2 to put the 10 ball in TC and make do with the backup! Hope it doesn't let in too many more goals

I stick with the 6 balls keeping dude. He is awesome, great personality, he donates monthly to charity.
