Hi, I have a question for a bit more experienced managers.
1. Do players train faster certain skills at the young age?
Example: Player A is going to acquire a ball at speed faster at the age of 17 than 25.
Not to get confused, I understand that older players, in general, acquire skills slower.
2. Would you recommend to train a player at certain skills while he's young? Which?
Kind regards!

(CORRECTION) Example: If we compare SPEED and PLAY INTELLIGENCE, would it be more beneficial if training the player on SPEED while he's young and INTELLIGENCE later?

1. players in their youth (age 16-18) train all skills faster, except play intelligence* .
after that a player may drop training rate at whenever age he likes
2. stamina and then speed, mainly to know if they will be maxed or not at +- eight skill balls (there's no point in having a player with 10@ shooting at 18yo, only to find out later that he is maxed at 4@ speed/stamina)
* theoretically , training rate at play intel normalizes around 21yo

It is still depending on your luck,10 stamina/speed is quite useless with 4-6 main skills max anyway.Actually, 10 main skills balls could work as a substitute, while the 4 main skiller is just a complete failure.

The ultimate disappointment is to get low max at the last trained skill when the player is almost completely trained around age 21-22yo.

you're exactly correct mate. in fact, i always prefer to train speed and main skills first and keep the stamina for later.

You have shooting/tackling/passing/crossing
That makes 4 positional skills to try your luck with maxings (I could even add keeping if you want)
(If the player maxes at 4@shooting then have a go at another one)
Name one that doesn't need stamina (or speed)
Unless you're telling me that your team's budget can afford to have a 12k+ salary sub
If it can...then can I borrow some money? Pretty please? :)

nah, i wasnt talking about it in that way lol. i meant other skills mostly only as in heading, since even a 5 speed guy (4 will be pretty low) can be a great product if he hits the rights maxings in shooting heading and BC.
as for the other positions, i think a minimum of 7 is required (also to be kept in mind is a 7 baller in speed should atleast have 8-9 stamina, to say the least) or 6 too will do (but that's the lowest u should go), but such a player should be sold off after the UXX competitions and not brought into the senior team.

I'll let you guess once which skill was trained last!
He is kinda pointless for my team now!
- it litterally made my eyes wet!

This one could be one of the greatest WB/Wingers,but the BC max is s cruel.6 Balls are just on the edge of acceptable, but not for a winger. I got this max after the player had 9s on SP/ST/DEF,adding the 10S on AP is just to make the thing even crueler.
