Arguably the most important matches, the official Senior U23, U21 and U18 League have this kind of Schedule:
Now, at first glance nothing is too wrong with this... but why should there be a gap of 21 rounds for Team A and B to play each-other, while Team A and Team L play consecutively?
This is especially bad in matches in Round 11 when there's been a red card! For example, my main U18 defender got sent off in Round 11 against a tough team 25 minutes in... we lost 4-0.
Am I upset about that? Not really because that can happen in real games,
What I am upset about is that player can't play in the next match... against the same opponent...
There should be damage control on the random acts in the game, instead of having a slight disadvantage against another team, that may be lower in the league, I've pretty much automatically been put in a position where one team's going to dominate me this season and there's nothing I can really do about it. I can't play them this season with my full team.
Why aren't all the League Schedules set up like this?
That's pretty much how the National Cup Group Stages are already set up like on ManagerZone, why aren't the League Matches set up that way too?
I really hope this changes for next season, under the different format:
- If a player gets sent off, there's never the situation where you'll have to play the same team again and pretty much lose both times against them,
- Each team have an equal and fair gap of 11 rounds before they play each-other again.
What is everyone's opinions on this? Do you think the current League Schedule should change to the format the National Cup Group Stages uses too or not?
*edit* A minor fix ~geo
