extreme winger / cross balls

Can you fix this? Whats the point in crossballs tactics with a extreme winger just in the sideline who runs and center the ball forever, and all the defenders run behind him like little boys playing in the school after the ball, leaving their marks over opponents strikers? Only one or two defenders should do this if you could select, for example, man-to-man defense or zone-defense. I dont think there is a good defense now for crossballs tactics, thats why high level leagues and teams do this tactic. So boring.Can you fix this?
