Batman/Superman film

So Comic Con has announced the sequel to Man of Steel in 2015 with the addition to the Bat in this film. Now Christian Bale has announce he won't be putting on the cowl so I wonder who might take over as the dark knight?. Strange decision. I'd think you only introduce a second major character like that if the first can't sustain things on their own, or needs some sort of reboot after running out of steam. I mean Man Of Steel was a bit gash, if possessing nice flying sequences, but then you just have to make more of an effort. The character, mythos and universe are enough that a quality film should be possible. Some way to use the Batman licence, I suppose. Where do you go with that otherwise? The Nolan trilogy (variously dull, botched, vastly overrated, full of plot holes, and far too long) has mercifully concluded, so that's at a bit of a loose end now. I suppose like the old TV series habit, could act as a "backdoor pilot" for new Batman films or TV series or something.Strange decision.
