global recession around the corner?

Badge image
Is a global recession just around the corner? if so ( I think it is)then will it be bad as it was 4 years ago? how will it effect the economy, and what will they do to fix the economy since there is could be 2 possible recessions in the last 4 years, it seems like the economy did not recover from 4 years ago, what could be the solution from this possible recession, a global currency? the Russian president Dimitry Mededev held up a global currency that read "unity in diversity" global language would be english for those who are interested here is the video (http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=rDiKsstR5M0&feature=related), so that is telling you something that they are expecting for a global currency?so what are the solutions to this possible or since we could be in a recession right now but probably not deep in it yet, thoughts?

it is interesting to see countries that were disaffected by the last recession, suddenly becoming awakened by troubles in their own back yard, when russia suddenly want to pat you on the shoulder, it means they are in the shit, they have suffered crop failure for a start, while countries like the UK have been working hard to climb out of recession, i think they are going to take the same disaffected stance, also it can only take 0.01 of a percent of a backward step to tilt an economy back into recession, the word recession is now going to be taken for granted, not neccessarily shrugged off, but i think some nations are getting the hang of it and they already knew it was going to be around for some time, for me, those countries that will be making the loudest noises, will be those that suddenly find the word recession as a new one on the agenda, monetary worries, aligned with natural disasters and war, after the euro debacle, there is no way a global currency is going to come into play, that would make money talk and walk at the same time for the powerful nations, hell, who would need tanks when you are pulling the purse strings, the russians have a habit of having one foot in and one out, but both feet are working for their own interests alone, it would be interesting to know who they would go to first if they really needed a friend, but i feel uncomfortable with the stance of, we are going down so you all have to, as this has not applied as the rule in the past. i just hope it does not all lead to a war on a grander scale..

As the time goes on the world turns faster and faster and we have to get used to more and more recessions in little periods of time. The changes are faster than they used to be.
The capitalism is not all shine.
America is ruled by corporations and politicians only reponds for their interests. We have the IMF, ECB, WTO, etc. and what is the result? Bankruptcy everywhere. Europe is f***ed up. America is not the land of freedom and oportunities anymore.

Contries like China, India and Brasil are rising and becoming the biggest economies. They knew how to adapt to this new enviroment.

PS: Sorry for my bad english.

investors can switch attention to places like Brazil, so these countries should not take sole credit if they are emerging as shinier than others, the fact that the three countries you mention have huge issues with poverty, could reveal the flip side of the coin that they do not want to be revealed..

China, India and Brazil becoming bigger economies?
On the face value, this might be true but that is just because of the shear population of these countries. Hell, with a $1000 per capita Income the Indian GDP will be $1.2 trillion. The growth story of India and China might seem amazing, but it isn't healthy growth. At least in India, it seems the rich are getting richer and the poor are still at the same level. With the growth is hand in hand inflation and for the poor, basic amenities are now unavailable.

I don't know much about China partly because not a lot of information gets out of there, but I am certain all is as not well and rosy as the Chinese depict it. I find it hard to believe with that the inflation figures are as low as the Chinese media (govt. controlled?) proclaim. How does a country that is growing at almost 10% each year in the last two decades never has inflation rate greater than 5%?

The game is up my friends...

Put your money into gold/silver and stock pile plenty of water and tinned foods.

During the coming years we are about to witness a depression the likes of which the world as never seen.

1 year....5 years....20 years...no one really knows the time scale. But it is coming. Be sure of that.

I agree with whinswood378, except for putting money in gold and silver. but apart from a global recession something else is coming, something really big and it is coming soon.

best take your gold into a cave on the isle of Arran, when the biggie hits us, all of the bank vaults will be flooded, buried in rubble or surrounded by heavily armed Eastern Europeans, i know you have already chopped up your bed for firewood and made a stockpile of bullion bars to place your mattress on top of, ( that is what scotsmen do ), just another tip, when you are going to Arran, stock pile with insect repellant, by the time it all kicks off,the midges will probably have mutated and will almost certainly be flesh eating. im not quite sure how you are going to carry/transport so much gold, or where or who or what you are going to do with it, but if you get stuck , keep in touch, there is a darts shop on my High Street, he will be able to make some cracking shafts with it..

A one world government is an unavoidable consequence of human progression.

It may take a few more global conflicts to bring about.....but I reckon it will eventually come.

@Roberts , you know fine well that the USA is planning to move to Mars , so you can control us all from there, well it wont end there Roberts , other countries are developing Inter Galactic technologies , its a big galaxy out there Roberts , there is stuff going on underneath the deserts of the world , and they are not just burying bars of gold ( apart from in Scotland ) the reccessions are being manipulated by the USA , so they can justify their reasons for making a home base on Mars, you think we dont know Roberts , Ha , well we do ..

global recession looms, it could be weeks away or months away. and from a global recession the global leaders will have to do something different because clearly what they are doing it is not working, a global currency? cashless society?

Re: global recession around the corner?

global leaders will say to individual countries that they have to act more responsibly, after all, the amount of bailouts that are taking place, it soon becomes apparent where the problems are occurring, the UK climbed out of reccession for the last quarter, and recorded growth of 1 per cent, you can forget about those two options, there is lots of gloom about to unfold, but you cant be down all of the time, just like you cannot be up all the time..

Re: global recession around the corner?

you're a little too paranoid bulldogs

Re: global recession around the corner?

I read an article in the Wall Street Journal a couple weeks ago that said another global recession was possible in 2013, but the IMF put the chances at about 17%. The biggest factor would probably be uncertainty regarding government debt and monetary inflation in some countries.

Another recession only three years after we climbed out of the last one would be devastating for millions of Americans. A lot of older Americans had to postpone retirement after the 2008 crisis cut their savings in half. I can't imagine what they'd do if it happened again. Hopefully our governments can start working in the right direction and restore faith that these problems won't get too serious.

Also, I don't know why anyone thinks there could possibly be a world government anytime soon. No offense intended, I just don't think it's likely. Why would any country's leader (President, PM, etc.) choose to give up his/her own power and sovereignty?

only a psychopath would be excited, but you're a cool psychopath bulldogs

lol it is not as you think :P , I do not look forward to the actual disastrous events but because they are a sign of something to come,I am not being straight forward which is intentional.
