Now that is a transfer signing with Rooney and Van Persie they might be one of the best strike partners since SAS Shearer and Sutton

I can't believe it! and unfortunaly chicharito is not coming to Arsenal!!! so... the problem the last season was the goal, and now Van Persie is going to ManU...
I just know one thing... Arsenal is the best team in all England!!!
PD: What do you thing about this???

Will be interesting to see if they work well together. I imagine there'll be some rivalry there. Have to feel a bit for Welbeck at the same time.

I think it ultimately makes sense for everyone. Arsenal are showing no sign of building a side truly capable of competing for the big trophies, so Van Persie, at 29, wanting to move to a team that would compete for the big trophies now, is understandable. It's fairly understandable he'd prefer to move to another club in England because he's got a young family settled here. Arsenal haven't done badly to get £22m for a player who has just turned 29. They weren't about to seriously add to the squad or challenge for big trophies in the next season anyway, with or without him. And Man Utd are lacking up-front. Wellbeck has potential but hasn't done much yet, Hernandez is lightweight, a third/fourth choice type, useful sub, and Berbatov has been fairly average, and also not seemingly all that trusted by Ferguson.

i wonder if the sulky dutchman with a bit of an ego problem will rub up the wrong side of ferguson, and end up in the ice bucket like Berbatov, who at one point, by the way, could not stop scoring goals, including was it 4 or 5 in one game.

berbatov is still their best striker, he's far from average, better than rooney, van persie, ferguson just doesn't like him for some reason, he's going to be wasting away there when he should be starting somewhere, top goal scorer two seasons ago cause he actually played and he plays rooney way too much

Do you think Podolski is a suitable replacement?

Van Persie won't be good at Man Utd because they don't play like Arsenal and create space or good shooting positions for him even though he can score curlers from outside the box when crowded. In his last game he had only one chance and I wouldn't even classify it as a chance but he still managed to score an extraordinary goal.
Also Man Utd 3 goals in their last game were from crosses and I think that is the opposite of what Van Persie wants/needs

Podolski is not as good a player, Julio Cesar to QPR is amazing though
