Murray in the Wimbledon final

So we have finally got a British tennis player in the final since 1939 when Bunny Austin got to the final. I do hope he does very well on Sunday seeing he's been well better then that has-been Tim Henman every was as Murray has got more grit and determination ever. Bring it on Federer

I hope Federer wins, would be a great achievement after the excellent win over Djokovic, and see him back as world #1. Not much of a fan of Murray, but mainly I do like Federer.

It doesn't matter if he wins or not, he won't grow a personality. Post match interviews have nearly sent me to sleep.

Glad for Federer, he played some wonderful tennis and deserved the win. Amused about the prediction of Greg Rusedski ("Whoever wins the first set will win") and although apparently it's got a mixed reaction I have an increased like for Murray thanks to his post-match interview. That was pretty good for him to be displaying some emotion other than anger or annoyance; he was gracious and genuine so good on him.

Better player won, Fed often uses the first set to size up a player and then get into his stride. Murray's time will come.

Best Rudeski quote was after he lost to Sampras in the US Open, he said "Pete ain't as good as he was, maybe just 80%"... Sampras response "I only need to play at 80% to beat Greg" :-)

Hehe, class :)

Perhaps Murray will have another chance, but this was a heck of a good one, with Nadal out early, Federer knocking out Djokovic... I wonder how many Grand Slams he'll get where he only has to beat 1 of those 3 in order to win... And that's if one or two like Ferrer don't step up to similar level.

Well I suppose history was made - British (Scottish) guy in the mens singles final. Still think Murray could have cheered up a bit, great achievement and he's got plenty of years left in him yet. Tournament winnings of just under £600,000 ? I'd say that's a good couple of weeks well spent.
