I have a complaint
I recently bought a player, just for some very importante matches since I got some retirements last week which i still couldn't cover
Now not having the option of who to use my "Assistance" with, and having +5kk in bank, now I can't sell the short-term bought player, which is 34yo and probably will retire BEFORE i can sell him again
This has been one of the worst new things, or worst implemented idea
Is there a way to solve this without firing him? (I literary want to fire MYSELF)

You're stuck with the player, similar thing happened to me, I bought a player short term for $1.1M and the assistance money got used automatically to partially finance the player, then when I tried to sell the player I couldn't and now he's retiring...

It was explained on the news though.... but I think the problem is that the assistance money gets used automatically instead of letting you choose when to use it.

Is there a way to check who it was used on? I'm likely to run into this issue with a bunch of players

i think its thought to MZ to make money more than help the "old" user.
that rule should only apply to new teams ...

pauol wrote:Worst implementation ever.
The only real 'benefit' of the kick start package for old users was the transfer market assistance.
All this information was available prior to the purchasing the package.
A clever manager (or maybe just one which stopped to think through the consequences fully) wouldn't have activated the kick start package until they knew how they specifically wanted to spend the assistance.

Store -> User History
Pick out the date you bought the package, then use your transfer history.

Actually, the only thing I wanted was the youth restructuring because I had been inactive.
I'm really annoyed that I'm stuck with a sub par foreigner who I'm pretty sure I already bid on before activating the package.

I haven't bought the package yet for this reason. I'll be spending a hell of a lot on a couple players this season, but chances are I won't want them for more than 1 season, so doing so may be a waste of my kick start or put me in a very bad situation.
It seems stupid that you can't choose how it's distributed.
Also, if I bought 1 player for $10k with my kick start, does that mean I forfeit the other 870k, or is that used on the next transfer(s)?

I don't really intend to be rude...but seriously folks can you blame a benefit for a management error!!!

None of the Transfer Assistance is forfeited. It is there to be applied toward purchases until it reads -0-.

I'd agree that it would make more sense to be able to 'assign' that money rather than it be automatically deducted.

The amount rolls over until you use it all.

You probably fit into the small bracket of 'old new-user'
The TMA would have been applied at the time of the transaction rather than the bid.

Perhaps transfer assistance should only be applied for purchases of domestic players?
If what I asked in another thread is accurate, I won't even be able to discard the foreigner I have because his value is too high.

I think many new features are great. Even for old users, some are overthinked, but for me after my «mistake» this one was underthinked, at least poorly explained
Says nowhere its used automatically on The first player you buy.
Hell, im stuck here

Actually, I bought the kickstart package to customize my youth academy.... both, in hockey & football, since I want all my youths to be of the same season, I have about $10M saved on each sport so I really didn't need the assistance at this time and I would have probably waited to buy the kickstart package until I needed it, if it wasn't for the youth academy customization.

I even did not know I had such package as I thought this applies only to new teams. Probably won't use it anyway.

[quote]Transfer Market Assistance of 544,811 EUR
To match your commitment to your Club, your Chairman will assist you in the transfer market by up to 544,811 EUR. Transfer fees will be refunded up to that total, once each transfer completes. Note that you cannot sell Players bought using these funds for 91 days! There is no time limit for using the assistance.

Always read the fine print ;)

The 1.4kk foreign player you fired must have been retiring??

Re: Transfer Market Assistance

This has nothing to do with the market assistance, you can't fire a player when his MZ value is over a certain threshold, I don't remember exactly how much but if memory serves me right, its around $700K..... only exception is players that are going to retire at the end of the season.

This whole situation strengthens the reason why I will never purchase an old player for short-term usage.

Does anyone know if the TMA is still available (whatever hasn't been spent) after your one months membership expires? (and you don't renew, i.e, no longer a CM)
-
Re: Transfer Market Assistance
By dowopado - 28-04-2014 06:55
It was a benefit from the purchase of the Jump Start Package...no requirements for the continuation of CM so it will be there until it is used.
