Michael Carmichael was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. Michael Carmichael stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Eudoxio Tumiraos's shot from short distance in the 43rd minute. After taking down the ball on Venezuela's corner Lorenzo Sanjuan fired away a hard shot, but the defenders efficiently covered the most dangerous angles and Michael Carmichael quite easily take care of the ball. Michael Carmichael was in the perfect position, and the defense had done a good job marking him, but Salomon Cachorro showcased his skills and made a perfect shot to score 0-5 in the 62 minute of play. Trinidad & Tobago's Michael Carmichael played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Chuse Peñuñuri in the 66th minute of play. Eudoxio Tumiraos who was well placed in front of the goal fired away a dangerous shot that in the 73rdth minute tested the skills of Michael Carmichael when he managed to save the team from getting behind. Lorenzo Sanjuan could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 76th minute of the match, but Michael Carmichael made a huge save. With an all-out effort, Venezuela's Michael Carmichael threw himself towards the right post 96 minutes into the match and grabbed hold of the ball from Fresco Reboredo, which otherwise would have been placed in the net. Venezuela were awarded a corner in the 97th minute after Trinidad & Tobago's defender lost control of the ball, allowing it to roll out over the line. Lorenzo Sanjuan took the corner. The corner led Venezuela's Denis Olmedo to fire away a dangerous shot which Michael Carmichael despite some difficulties managed to get hold on the ball. The Trinidad & Tobago fans had already started to leave before the final whistle blew. Venezuela were clearly better and deserved to take the win.
