Seating: 2369, VIP seats: 206) Edmond Muir started the match with the kick off in front of an excited audience. Nigel Fraser showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Taurino Rapado, who was totally free with the ball in the 3rd minute. In the 6th minute, Declan Lucas ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Omar Barberá was frozen by the shot and now it was 1-0. Nigel Fraser showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Taurino Rapado, who was totally free with the ball in the 12th minute. U21 Scotland's Nigel Fraser played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Taurino Rapado in the 15th minute of play. Taurino Rapado struck a weak shot in the 18th minute. Nigel Fraser didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for U21 Spain. In the 21st minute, Taurino Rapado made a precise shot to the right of Nigel Fraser. U21 Scotland's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 1-1. Nigel Fraser took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Taurino Rapado, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Taurino Rapado took the ball and in the 29 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Nigel Fraser. Nigel Fraser dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 1-2. Taurino Rapado recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 35th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Taurino Rapado scored 1-3 in the 39th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Nigel Fraser, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. In the 42nd minute, Freddie Clement hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Taurino Rapado scored 1-4 in the 44th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Nigel Fraser, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. The crowd was extremely unhappy with the home team's performance in the first half. They were losing 1-4.
Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Taurino Rapado to make the kick off. In the 50th match minute, U21 Spain was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Sinforiano Briso to maneuver through the defense. Omar Barberá took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Edmond Muir, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. In the 53rdth minute of the game Edmond Muir who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but U21 Spain's Omar Barberá was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. U21 Scotland's Nigel Fraser proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 57th minute of the match, managed to save U21 Scotland from getting a goal against them. Edmond Muir recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 59th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. In the 63rd minute the ball was on its way in behind U21 Scotland's goalkeeper Nigel Fraser, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. Nigel Fraser stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Taurino Rapado's shot from short distance in the 64th minute. After 66 played minutes U21 Scotland got a freekick which was hit by Donald Garrow. U21 Spain's Kepa Arraz was substituted for Edgardo Toxeiro. 74 minutes into the match, U21 Spain's goal looked a bit too open when Paul Sporran came free, but Omar Barberá reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Dylan McKelvie made in the 77th minute of the game a fairly good throw-in which was taken care of by Paul Sporran. U21 Scotland's Nigel Fraser proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 78th minute of the match, managed to save U21 Scotland from getting a goal against them. Hugo Mallo hit a great freekick 85 minutes into the match. Omar Barberá showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Donald Garrow, who was totally free with the ball in the 88th minute. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Donald Garrow in the 88th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Omar Barberá prevented the ball from getting in the gole. Chants of U21 Spain echoed around the stadium as the match drew to a close. Supporters and players were both delighted with the win, as U21 Scotland had held the ball for most of the match.
