Tihomir Petleshkov ran back to his position shaking his head. Anton Skarlatov lost his temper 6 minutes into the game and shoved another player to the ground. He was immediately shown a red card. After 5 minutes of play, the referee blew the whistle. It was a penalty for U21 Bulgaria! 7 minutes into the match, Benjamin Ambrosio notched a goal, 1-0, to the right of U21 Bulgaria's Velizar Bozhilov. Velizar Bozhilov was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. 11 minutes into the match, U21 Uruguay's goal looked a bit too open when Chudomir Pelov came free, but Jatsu Camacho reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. 15 minutes into the match, U21 Bulgaria's goal looked a bit too open when Oskitz Lecea came free, but Velizar Bozhilov reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. In the 17th minute Chudomir Pelov shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Jatsu Camacho saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. U21 Bulgaria's Velizar Bozhilov played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Benjamin Ambrosio in the 18th minute of play. Velizar Bozhilov showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Benjamin Ambrosio in the 19th minute of the match. 20 minutes into the match, U21 Bulgaria's goal looked a bit too open when Benjamin Ambrosio came free, but Velizar Bozhilov reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. An unexpectedly hard shot by Dencho Glishev in the 22nd minute of play forced U21 Uruguay's goalkeeper Jatsu Camacho to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. After 29 played minutes U21 Bulgaria got a freekick which was hit by Chudomir Pelov. In the 34th minute of the match, Benjamin Ambrosio tried to roll the ball into the goal by the right post, but Velizar Bozhilov saw his intentions and got control of the ball before it passed the line. If Chudomir Pelov had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 35th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Bertin Seseña came free with the goalkeeper in the 37th minute of the match, and shot straight on target. The shot was a little too simple and Velizar Bozhilov could save by the left post. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Chudomir Pelov in the 40th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Jatsu Camacho saved U21 Uruguay from getting behind. All the noise was coming from the home fans when the whistle went for half-time. The home team had fought hardest to put themselves in a deserved lead.

U21 Bulgaria made a substitution. Slaveyko Klinkov replaced Tzonyo Mandalov. When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Chudomir Pelov made a kick off. Fotyo Dyukmedzhiev's late challenge caught a U21 Uruguay's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Fotyo Dyukmedzhiev helped the player get up and apologised. In the 54th minute Benjamin Ambrosio shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Velizar Bozhilov saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. An unexpectedly hard shot by Lopes Olmedilla in the 57th minute of play forced U21 Bulgaria's goalkeeper Velizar Bozhilov to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Tihomir Todorchev fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 62nd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Jatsu Camacho having to interfere. In the 64th minute Oskitz Lecea shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Velizar Bozhilov saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Yanek Pitekov could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 67th minute of the match, but Jatsu Camacho made a huge save. Velizar Bozhilov didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Oskitz Lecea went, in the 70th minute, to the upper right corner, 3-0 was the resulting score. After a rather tough play, U21 Bulgaria's Dencho Glishev got a free kick in the 75th minute. U21 Uruguay made a substitution. Incendio Bonilla replaced Benjamin Ambrosio. U21 Uruguay's Sayvion Gatica was substituted for Maju Traus. A collision led to U21 Bulgaria getting a freekick after 77 minutes play. Dencho Glishev hit a great ball. 79 minutes into the game, Oskitz Lecea cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 4-0. Velizar Bozhilov was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. U21 Bulgaria made a substitution. Tervel Tomanov replaced Yanek Pitekov. U21 Bulgaria's Yanko Abrashkov was substituted for Tihomir Petleshkov. 86 minutes into the match, U21 Bulgaria's goal looked a bit too open when Bertin Seseña came free, but Velizar Bozhilov reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Velizar Bozhilov showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Bertin Seseña, who was totally free with the ball in the 88th minute. After 89 minutes, Lopes Olmedilla mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the U21 Uruguay and the U21 Bulgaria players grew even worse after the yellow card. Lopes Olmedilla hit a great freekick 89 minutes into the match. After 90 played minutes U21 Bulgaria got a freekick which was hit by Slaveyko Klinkov. A collision led to U21 Uruguay getting a freekick after 93 minutes play. Lopes Olmedilla hit a great ball. The audience thought a goal was coming when Dencho Glishev got free with Jatsu Camacho in the 96th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. U21 Bulgaria's attacker deliberately struck the ball against an opponent to win a corner for his team. The corner was taken by Fotyo Dyukmedzhiev in the 97th minute.
