U21 Algeria's Mustapha Abbas was substituted for Nacim Benattia. With his leg Manuel Orobio managed to avoid a goal in the 28thth minute, when U21 Algeria's Hafs Ataïlyya fired away a shot with a lot of spin towards his right hand side. In the 30th minute, Avilio Rivas hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. In the 38th minute U21 Honduras were awarded a corner. Ramon Toledano went to the cornerflag to take it. Thelma Bouazza in the 43rdth minute had a little luck and got a chance for a shot in front of the goal. Without hesitation aimed to the right of Manuel Orobio, who managed to lunge to the right direction and made a save. 45 minutes into the match, U21 Algeria's goal looked a bit too open when Daniel Quintanilla came free, but Said Benichou reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Said Benichou took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Daniel Quintanilla, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. All the noise was coming from the home fans when the whistle went for half-time. The home team had fought hardest to put themselves in a deserved lead.

Hafs Ataïlyya fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 88th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Manuel Orobio having to interfere. Alexander Asad hit a great freekick 90 minutes into the match. U21 Honduras's Manuel Orobio played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Thelma Bouazza in the 95th minute of play. 97 minutes had been played when some careless play by U21 Honduras's defense caused the ball to cross the line for a corner. Aydril Korteby was slow to take the kick. During this time U21 Algeria's players had a chance to rest. After taking down the ball on U21 Algeria's corner Aydril Korteby fired away a hard shot, but the defenders efficiently covered the most dangerous angles and Manuel Orobio quite easily take care of the ball. For all the effort they put into the match, the U21 Honduras players left disappointed. They had fought hard, but couldn't break down the home team's defense. The match ended in a win for U21 Algeria.
