Spectators: 10300 (Terracing: 7725, Seating: 2369, VIP seats: 206) It was fairly windy and cold on the field when Evgeniy Kononov kicked off to start the match. In the 3rdth minute of the game Evgeniy Kononov who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Germany's Wolf-Rüdiger Anschütz was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. When Russia's Lev Smolin in the 6th minute got a chance for a shot 6th didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. A beautiful save bye Germany's goalie prevented a goal. Wolf-Rüdiger Anschütz showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Evgeniy Kononov, who was totally free with the ball in the 7th minute. The audience was convinced that Evgeniy Kononov's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Wolf-Rüdiger Anschütz was relentless in the 8th minute of the game. With his leg Danila Valishevskiy managed to avoid a goal in the 11thth minute, when Germany's Adrian Kleppinger fired away a shot with a lot of spin towards his right hand side. Evgeniy Kononov received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 13th minute. Wolf-Rüdiger Anschütz tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Lev Smolin's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Wolf-Rüdiger Anschütz read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 14th minute of play. Germany were awarded a corner in the 20th minute after Russia's defender lost control of the ball, allowing it to roll out over the line. Adrian Kleppinger took the corner. Bud Avcı made a great header on Germany's corner, it was just that Russia's Danila Valishevskiy managed to reach the ball for a save. Germany's Bud Avcı was standing unmarked in front of the goal when he, in the 21st play minute, got the ball and easily drilled it into the goal. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Lev Smolin in the 24th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Wolf-Rüdiger Anschütz prevented the ball from getting in the gole. In the 25th minute of the match Russia got a corner. Germany's goalie ran out to the linesman to protest the call, but the linesman resolutely pointed his flag at the cornerflag. Evgeniy Kononov ran over to the corner to take the kick. Russia's Evgeniy Kononov was first on the ball when the corner was shot and he dangerously headed the ball towards goal, but Wolf-Rüdiger Anschütz in the goal jumped up to prevent it from getting in. If Adrian Kleppinger had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 28th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. In the 28th minute, Roberto Lewandowski ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Danila Valishevskiy was frozen by the shot and now it was 2-0. Wolf-Rüdiger Anschütz stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Evgeniy Kononov's shot from short distance in the 32nd minute. In the 33rd minute, Christof Nowotny hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. In the 35th minute Evgeniy Kononov shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Wolf-Rüdiger Anschütz saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Wolf-Rüdiger Anschütz made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Lev Smolin in the 37th minute of play. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Evgeniy Kononov in the 38th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Wolf-Rüdiger Anschütz prevented the ball from getting in the gole. After a rather tough play, Germany's Anselm Brandstrup got a free kick in the 41st minute. When Christof Nowotny fell near the penalty area in the 42nd minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Germany's protests and gave Christof Nowotny a yellow card for diving instead. After 42 played minutes Germany got a freekick which was hit by Christof Nowotny. Lev Smolin recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 43rd minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Danila Valishevskiy took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Adrian Kleppinger, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. No-one was surprised that the home team were leading 2-0 at half-time.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Adrian Kleppinger made a kick off. An unexpectedly hard shot by Felix Lyubovich in the 59th minute of play forced Germany's goalkeeper Wolf-Rüdiger Anschütz to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. In the 62nd minute Adrian Kleppinger shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Danila Valishevskiy saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Germany's Fritz Mangold was substituted for Bud Avcı. After some fancy dribbling in the 70th minute, Felix Lyubovich managed to get in a good position for a shot. Russia's supporters rose to their feet, but Felix Lyubovich was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Wolf-Rüdiger Anschütz breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Wolf-Rüdiger Anschütz made a fantastic save in the 73rd minute, when Felix Lyubovich sent off a good shot on target. Ippolit Leiba hit a great ball. 92 minutes into the game, Christof Nowotny threw the ball into play from the sideline. Russia's Evgeniy Moiseev quickly snatched the ball and retained possesion. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Roberto Lewandowski in the 94th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Danila Valishevskiy prevented the ball from getting in the gole. Thorben Kolberg might have been able to make a better finish in the 96th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Danila Valishevskiy. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Thorben Kolberg ran back to his position shaking his head. 97 minutes into the match, Roberto Lewandowski had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Danila Valishevskiy. Russia's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Roberto Lewandowski was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 3-1.
