After 30 minutes, John John Obi mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the U21 Brazil and the U21 England players grew even worse after the yellow card. When Leigh Beverley fell near the penalty area in the 94th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored U21 England's protests and gave Leigh Beverley a yellow card for diving instead. A collision led to U21 England getting a freekick after 94 minutes play.
