After 38 minutes Thailand's defender was forced to head the ball over the line for a corner. It was Fisnik Qiraxhi who took care of the corner kick. Albania's Fisnik Qiraxhi was first on the ball when the corner was shot and he dangerously headed the ball towards goal, but Paiboon Permpol in the goal jumped up to prevent it from getting in. After 39 played minutes Thailand got a freekick which was hit by Chao Sinthubua. Paiboon Permpol made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Mehat Kovaçi in the 39th minute of play. The supporters of Albania booed when Thailand was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 40 match minutes in a wonderful position. Thananiti Cheewawipat didn't get a good kick on the ball. Paiboon Permpol didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Mehat Kovaçi went, in the 43rd minute, to the upper right corner, 0-2 was the resulting score. After some careless play in the Thailand defense, Mehat Kovaçi kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Paiboon Permpol. The Thailand fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Paiboon Permpol should have stopped the shot. The crowd was extremely unhappy with the home team's performance in the first half. They were losing 0-3.

Albania made a substitution. Nderim Pepo replaced Mehat Kovaçi. When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Nderim Pepo made a kick off. Thailand's Thanan Javaus got a good chance for a goal in the 63rd minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Albania's Fatbardh Malko was substituted for Nertil Ramos. Thailand's Paiboon Permpol played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Aulin Janku in the 74th minute of play. 77 minutes had been played when some careless play by Albania's defense caused the ball to cross the line for a corner. Tawat Chaiprakhon was slow to take the kick. During this time Thailand's players had a chance to rest. A nice corner shot did that Tawat Chaiprakhon got away a dangerous shot. Despite this Marjus Laçka quite easily got ahold of the ball to make the save. In the 80th minute the ball was on its way in behind Thailand's goalkeeper Paiboon Permpol, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. Paiboon Permpol took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Aulin Janku, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Ilmi Duka fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 88th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Paiboon Permpol having to interfere. Through an outstanding action, after 90 minutes, Paiboon Permpol successfully got his hands on the ball before it slid into the goal at the right post. The away crowd were delighted with the way their team had played and cheered loudly when the final whistle sounded. Albania walked away with the win, even though the match was close until the end.
