The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. Nicoya's supporters crossed their fingers, but Celso Mora was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Buenaventura Naranjo could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 35th minute of the match, but Willy Oreamuno made a huge save. The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Anibal Martinez stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. The audience was convinced that Donald Hidalgo's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Keylor Borbon was relentless in the 52nd minute of the game. Willy Oreamuno stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Buenaventura Naranjo's shot from short distance in the 67th minute. Willy Oreamuno showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Buenaventura Naranjo in the 68th minute of the match. After a rather tough play, GALÁCTICOS FC's Rogelio Garro got a free kick in the 72nd minute. When Anibal Martinez came up free with the goalie in the 74th minute, the GALÁCTICOS FC fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Anibal Martinez couldn't finish the play. In the 76th minute, Alvaro Pineda hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Rogelio Garro kicked well hit freekick during the 81st minute of the match. Willy Oreamuno didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Celso Mora went, in the 87th minute, to the upper right corner, 5-1 was the resulting score. The audience thought a goal was coming when Valentin Blanco got free with Keylor Borbon in the 91st minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. In the 93rd minute Humberto Herrera shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Willy Oreamuno saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Nicoya walked away with a well-earned victory that was much celebrated by the crowd.
