Spectators: 5000 (Terracing: 4000, Seating: 1000, VIP seats: 0) The sun was shining, the grass was green and the audience cheered when Boyce Thomson got the match started through his kick off. In the 6th minute, Clint Dickson sent off a long shot on goal, but the shot was nowhere near the goal and Bonita's DeAndre Scott didn't even have to move. A collision led to Bonita getting a freekick after 10 minutes play. Jeremiah McClain hit a great ball. After 17 minutes of play, Clifton Heights's Vernon Tidwell made it 1-0 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. DeAndre Scott was left in no man's land by his defense there! 20 minutes into the match, Clifton Heights's goal looked a bit too open when Boyce Thomson came free, but Wesley Layton reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. After some careless play in the Clifton Heights defense, Jeremiah McClain kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Wesley Layton. The Clifton Heights fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Wesley Layton should have stopped the shot. The audience was convinced that Boyce Thomson's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Wesley Layton was relentless in the 27th minute of the game. 33 minutes into the game, Robby Wesley was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Clifton Heights's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Bonita the free kick. Robby Wesley kicked well hit freekick during the 34th minute of the match. Boyce Thomson recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 36th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. The Bonita fans' excitement grew in the 40th match minute when Bonita's Boyce Thomson looked to have a clear shot with the ball near the goal. The shot wasn't hard, but the ball still rolled over the goal line to make it 1-2 before the goalkeeper had a chance to intervene. In the 43rd minute, Vernon Tidwell hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. If Boyce Thomson had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 48th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Even after changing tactics the home team jogged off the field with a 1-2 deficit. They would have to work harder if they wanted to turn things around in the second half.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Edgardo Ferris was the one to do the kick off. 53 minutes into the game, Vernon Tidwell was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Bonita's supporters crossed their fingers, but Boyce Thomson was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Teddy Scruggs's late challenge caught a Clifton Heights's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Teddy Scruggs helped the player get up and apologised. Edgardo Ferris sent away a hard shot on goal in the 62nd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. A collision led to Bonita getting a freekick after 63 minutes play. Willis Fisher hit a great ball. Bonita's Boyce Thomson pulled a muscle in his leg after 65 minutes and couldn't finish the game. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Milan Baez during the 65th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. In the 67th minute, Milan Baez hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Vito Sousa was probably a little too eager to shoot when he, in the 68th played minute, shot the ball from way out. The shot was hard, but the ball flew wide of the goal. Joaquin Adams could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 76th minute of the match, but Wesley Layton made a huge save. In the 79th minute, Milan Baez hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Wesley Layton came out of the goal in the 81st minute to try and stop a shot by Bonita's Joaquin Adams. But to his dismay, Joaquin Adams quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 1-3. DeAndre Scott showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Edgardo Ferris, who was totally free with the ball in the 85th minute. A collision led to Bonita getting a freekick after 86 minutes play. Jeremiah McClain hit a great ball. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Derick Fleming during the 89th minute. Vito Sousa could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 90th minute of the match, but Wesley Layton made a huge save. Joaquin Adams could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 95th minute of the match, but Wesley Layton made a huge save. After some careless play in the Bonita defense, Vernon Tidwell kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of DeAndre Scott. The Bonita fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that DeAndre Scott should have stopped the shot. The Bonita supporters could be heard counting down the last seconds of the match. They errupted in celebration when the whistle blew, knowing Bonita would go home with victory in their luggage after a match that easily could have ended differently.
