Spectators: 6260 (Terracing: 5000, Seating: 1250, VIP seats: 10) Dark clouds were building up when the players entered the field. None of the them looked very eager to play. Hayden Kitchen started the match with the kick off. 2 minutes into the match, Casey Dill had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Silas Sanford. Leaders FC's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Casey Dill was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 1-0. After a defensive mix-up in Port Vale FC's zone, Hayden Kitchen stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Anton Kauffman came out of the goal and Hayden Kitchen tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. If Peter Hufnagel had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 8th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Cory Bernard during the 13th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. Andy Dyer, 14 minutes into the match, dribbled the ball up the side of the field and decided to take a long shot at the goal. Unfortunately, the ball was poorly hit and landed closer to the corner than to the goal. If Casey Dill had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 17th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Mohammad Weston kicked well hit freekick during the 18th minute of the match. The supporters of Port Vale FC booed when Leaders FC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 20 match minutes in a wonderful position. Tomas Meyer didn't get a good kick on the ball. In the 24th minute Merle Scott shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Silas Sanford saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Anton Kauffman made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Tomas Meyer in the 26th minute of play. After a rather tough play, Port Vale FC's Cole Stevens got a free kick in the 27th minute. A hard shot 31 in the game by Merle Scott from a close distance when the talented Silas Sanford managed to make a qualified save. Leaders FC's players were relieved. In the 38th minute, Peter Hufnagel made a precise shot to the right of Anton Kauffman. Port Vale FC's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 1-1. Hayden Kitchen fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 43rd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Anton Kauffman having to interfere. After having played for 47 minutes, Peter Hufnagel managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Leaders FC's supporters crossed their fingers, but Peter Hufnagel was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. After a very even first half the match was still tied. The players went to their respective dressing rooms to discuss the tactics for the second half.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Casey Dill to strike the kick off in the second half. If Merle Scott had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 56th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Marlon Bowling hit a great freekick 59 minutes into the match. Leaders FC's Peter Hufnagel got a good chance for a goal in the 63rd minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Leaders FC's Silas Sanford played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Merle Scott in the 69th minute of play. Silas Sanford showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Merle Scott in the 74th minute of the match. In the 83rd minute, Port Vale FC's goalie took a deep sigh of relief after Peter Hufnagel fired away a hard shot that went just outside the left post. Casey Dill sent away a hard shot on goal in the 86th minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. Peter Hufnagel came free with the goalkeeper in the 87th minute of the match, and shot straight on target. The shot was a little too simple and Anton Kauffman could save by the left post. Hayden Kitchen might have been able to make a better finish in the 91st minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Anton Kauffman. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Hayden Kitchen ran back to his position shaking his head. In the 94th minute, Casey Dill left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Port Vale FC fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 2-1.
