Brant Palacios took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Ralph Stiles, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. With an all-out effort, Philladelphia FC's Brant Palacios threw himself towards the right post 72 minutes into the match and grabbed hold of the ball from Ralph Stiles, which otherwise would have been placed in the net. Melvin Benitez fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 73rd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Warren Ransom having to interfere. In the last second Brant Palacios throw himself and got hold of the ball when Ralph Stiles in the 75thth minute from his position got away a shot towards the right post. In the 80th minute Melvin Benitez shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Warren Ransom saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Ray Melvin was shown his second yellow card after 81 minutes, following a rather ugly tackle on opponent. That was the end of his participation in the match. Warren Ransom stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Andy Roberson's shot from short distance in the 84th minute. After some fancy dribbling in the 85th minute, Andy Roberson managed to get in a good position for a shot. L.A. Wolves F.C's supporters rose to their feet, but Andy Roberson was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Warren Ransom breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. The audience thought a goal was coming when Wes Connelly got free with Brant Palacios in the 86th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. In the 91st match minute, Philladelphia FC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Ralph Stiles to maneuver through the defense. The away crowd were delighted with the way their team had played and cheered loudly when the final whistle sounded. Philladelphia FC walked away with the win, even though the match was close until the end.
