The Condors Andins fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Ignacio Boyer should have stopped the shot. In the 14th minute the ball was on its way in behind Cowley's goalkeeper Barnabé Rutledge, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. Thaddeus Mobley's late challenge caught a Condors Andins's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Thaddeus Mobley helped the player get up and apologised. The audience was convinced that Brice Gaulin's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Ignacio Boyer was relentless in the 21st minute of the game. Reggie Metcalf sent away a hard shot on goal in the 22nd minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. Brice Gaulin received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 37th minute. Ignacio Boyer tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Ignacio Boyer stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Brice Gaulin's shot from short distance in the 39th minute. In the 45thth minute of the game Brice Gaulin who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Condors Andins's Ignacio Boyer was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. Disappointed in the 0-2 score, the home team went to the dressing room to adjust tactics for the second half.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Reggie Metcalf to strike the kick off in the second half. After having played for 54 minutes, Brice Gaulin managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Cowley's supporters crossed their fingers, but Brice Gaulin was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Ignacio Boyer made an important save on a dangerous shot by Brice Gaulin in the 65th minute. Cowley's Reggie Metcalf got a good chance for a goal in the 70th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. If Jim Farmer had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 73rd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Reggie Metcalf sent away a hard shot on goal in the 76th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. The Condors Andins fans had already started to leave before the final whistle blew. Cowley were clearly better and deserved to take the win.
