In the 4th minute Leland Jacobs shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Norman Dumas saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Norman Dumas took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Reggie Metcalf, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Waterloo Warriors's Norman Dumas played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Reggie Metcalf in the 11th minute of play. Lambert McDermott's late challenge caught a Cowley's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Lambert McDermott helped the player get up and apologised. Lambert McDermott kicked well hit freekick during the 13th minute of the match. In the 16th minute Reggie Metcalf shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Norman Dumas saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. After 16 minutes of play, Cowley's Reggie Metcalf made it 1-0 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Norman Dumas was left in no man's land by his defense there! Norman Dumas made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Reggie Metcalf in the 22nd minute of play. 26 minutes into the match, Waterloo Warriors's goal looked a bit too open when Reggie Metcalf came free, but Norman Dumas reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. An unexpectedly hard shot by Reggie Metcalf in the 27th minute of play forced Waterloo Warriors's goalkeeper Norman Dumas to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Thaddeus Mobley was astounded when the referee showed him the red card after a seemingly innocent challenge, 30 minutes into the match. After 29 minutes of play, the referee blew the whistle. It was a penalty for Cowley! Reggie Metcalf fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 35th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Norman Dumas having to interfere. After 38 played minutes Cowley got a freekick which was hit by Brice Gaulin. The referee blew the whistle for a penalty in the 40th minute of the game. One of Waterloo Warriors:s players had nearly got his shirt torn off by an opponent while getting free in front of Cowley:s goal. The referee gave Cowley a penalty, 42 minutes into the game. The penalty shot was made by Loyd Lutz, who made a well placed shot into the net to the right of Waterloo Warriors's Norman Dumas. 2-1. Reggie Metcalf fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 45th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Norman Dumas having to interfere. 47 minutes into the game, Brice Gaulin recieved a splendid long ball, split the defenders, and gently placed the ball to the left of Norman Dumas. Brice Gaulin showed that you don't have to tear a hole in the net to score, 3-1.
The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Dave Rossignol was the one to do the kick off. Reggie Metcalf might have been able to make a better finish in the 63rd minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Norman Dumas. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Reggie Metcalf ran back to his position shaking his head. Reggie Metcalf received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 66th minute. Norman Dumas tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Cowley's Reggie Metcalf got a good chance for a goal in the 68th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Brice Gaulin fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 69th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Norman Dumas having to interfere. Barnabé Rutledge made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Dave Rossignol in the 74th minute of play. In the 77th minute, Reggie Metcalf got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. In the 82nd minute, Lambert McDermott made a precise shot to the right of Barnabé Rutledge. Cowley's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 3-2. After having played for 85 minutes, Reggie Metcalf managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Cowley's supporters crossed their fingers, but Reggie Metcalf was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Brice Gaulin sent away a hard shot on goal in the 87th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Norman Dumas showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Brice Gaulin in the 89th minute of the match. The supporters of Waterloo Warriors booed when Cowley was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 90 match minutes in a wonderful position. Ross Thurman didn't get a good kick on the ball. Dylan Castillo, 91 minutes into the match, dribbled the ball up the side of the field and decided to take a long shot at the goal. Unfortunately, the ball was poorly hit and landed closer to the corner than to the goal. Barnabé Rutledge showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Dave Rossignol in the 93rd minute of the match. Cowley's supporters were delighted with their team's performance and swarmed onto the pitch at the end of the match to celebrate the victory with the players.
