Nova Scotias Finest's Xavier Webb played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Hugues Westbrook in the 3rd minute of play. Isaac Nixon charged in rather forcefully in the 3rd minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Isaac Nixon the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. Hugues Westbrook received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 7th minute. Unfortunately, the ball was poorly hit and landed closer to the corner than to the goal. 13 minutes into the match, Lashburn's goal looked a bit too open when Gérard Dionne came free, but Bobbie Ludwig reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Xavier Webb showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Johnson Traylor, who was totally free with the ball in the 15th minute. Merlin Sellerss short, quick shot in the 17thth minute got Bobbie Ludwig to make great effort and bar the ball away from getting in. The supporters of Lashburn booed when Nova Scotias Finest was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 18 match minutes in a wonderful position. Elton Livingston didn't get a good kick on the ball. After 24 played minutes Lashburn got a freekick which was hit by Hugues Westbrook. After a rather tough play, Nova Scotias Finest's Donovan Grove got a free kick in the 26th minute. In the 28th minute, Johnson Traylor hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Grégoire Acosta struck a weak shot in the 30th minute. Xavier Webb didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Lashburn. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Gerald Keys in the 31st minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Xavier Webb prevented the ball from getting in the gole. In the 36th minute, Arnulfo Moyer hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Lashburn's Jewel Medley couldn't find anyone to pass the ball to, so he shot a long shot towards the goal in the 37th minute. The shot went wide which resulted in a goal kick for Nova Scotias Finest. Merlin Sellers might have been able to make a better finish in the 47th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Bobbie Ludwig. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Merlin Sellers ran back to his position shaking his head. Bobbie Ludwig made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Gérard Dionne in the 47th minute of play. No-one was surprised that the home team were leading 1-0 at half-time.

After some fancy dribbling in the 51st minute, Gerald Keys managed to get in a good position for a shot. Lashburn's supporters rose to their feet, but Gerald Keys was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Xavier Webb breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. In the 58th minute, Lashburn's Gerald Keys ran free of his marker and smoothly shot the ball into the goal behind Xavier Webb. Xavier Webb yelled at his defense, as they had left him out to dry. 1-1. In the 61st minute, Hugues Westbrook hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Both teams had looked equal from kick-off, and no-one was surprised when the match finally ended in a draw.
