Estrela Azul FC's Nicolas Loyola played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Carlos Fernando Motta in the 30th minute of play. In the 31st minute Cauan Antunes shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Juninho Tróia saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. The fans had the chance to grab some refreshments as the whistle went for half-time. The score stood at 1-1 after a close first half.

The wind increased when Cauan Antunes made the kick off in the second half. In the 53rd minute Estrela Azul FC were awarded a corner. Donato Souza went to the cornerflag to take it. The corner ended in Donato Souza almost managing to get the ball behind the net, but Ibuaco's Juninho Tróia did a great save. 56 minutes into the match, Ibuaco's goal looked a bit too open when Cauan Antunes came free, but Juninho Tróia reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Estrela Azul FC's Basílio Vaz shoveled away a really nice long shot in the 63rd minute of play. The shot was stopped by Juninho Tróia but with some difficulty. Nicolas Loyola made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Carlos Fernando Motta in the 65th minute of play. After 66 played minutes Estrela Azul FC got a freekick which was hit by Evandro Sá. In the 69th minute, Cauan Antunes left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Estrela Azul FC fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 1-2. Betinho Donato charged in rather forcefully in the 73rd minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. When Cauan Antunes came up free with the goalie in the 87th minute, the Estrela Azul FC fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Cauan Antunes couldn't finish the play. 89 minutes into the match, Estrela Azul FC's goal looked a bit too open when Raphael Negri came free, but Nicolas Loyola reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Evandro Cunha's late challenge caught a Ibuaco's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Evandro Cunha helped the player get up and apologised. Nicolas Loyola showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Raphael Negri, who was totally free with the ball in the 94th minute.
