In the 22nd match minute, Ibuaco was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Júlio de Alcântara to maneuver through the defense. 23 minutes into the game, Davi Dal Bello cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 1-1. Juninho Tróia was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. When Ademar Rossi fell near the penalty area in the 28th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Ibuaco's protests and gave Ademar Rossi a yellow card for diving instead. The supporters of S. C. NAVEGANTES booed when Ibuaco was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 29 match minutes in a wonderful position. Ademar Rossi didn't get a good kick on the ball. A long shot from Luiz Fábio Meira in the 45th minute of play was well struck, but Juninho Tróia made a really good save at the right post. Davi Dal Bello could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 46th minute of the match, but Juninho Tróia made a huge save.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Davi Dal Bello to make the kick off. Davi Dal Bello received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 51st minute. Juninho Tróia tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. The referee blew his whistle, and the match came to a close. The players exchanged shirts and headed down the tunnel. The S. C. NAVEGANTES fans cheered their team off the field, for while Ibuaco had put up a good fight, they were unable to come out of the game with any points to show for their effort.
