Edgar de Queiroz made an important save on a dangerous shot by Suárez Rado in the 14th minute. Christian Zanette fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 15th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Edgar de Queiroz having to interfere. In the 17thth minute of the game Suárez Rado who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Figueirense FC - FSCMZ's Edgar de Queiroz was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. Edgar de Queiroz came out of the goal in the 19th minute to try and stop a shot by Guaecá MZ's Franciszek Serwach. But to his dismay, Franciszek Serwach quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 3-0. After a rather tough play, Figueirense FC - FSCMZ's João Vítor Rocha got a free kick in the 21st minute. With a little luck, Figueirense FC - FSCMZ's Edgar de Queiroz got control of the ball when Franciszek Serwach tried to sneak it across the goal line. In the 31st minute, Christian Zanette made a precise shot to the right of Edgar de Queiroz. Figueirense FC - FSCMZ's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 4-0. Christian Zanette could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 35th minute of the match, but Edgar de Queiroz made a huge save. Gilmar Recife hit a great freekick 40 minutes into the match. Edgar de Queiroz didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Christian Zanette went, in the 47th minute, to the upper right corner, 6-0 was the resulting score.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Emerson Botelho to strike the kick off in the second half. Edgar de Queiroz showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Suárez Rado, who was totally free with the ball in the 56th minute. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Suárez Rado in the 57th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Edgar de Queiroz prevented the ball from getting in the gole. After some fancy dribbling in the 59th minute, Suárez Rado managed to get in a good position for a shot. Guaecá MZ's supporters rose to their feet, but Suárez Rado was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Edgar de Queiroz breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. When the match clock showed 62 minutes, the score became 7-0 when Suárez Rado sped through Figueirense FC - FSCMZ's defense and sent away a curving shot that went into the net to the right of Edgar de Queiroz. After 66 minutes of play, Guaecá MZ's Franciszek Serwach made it 8-0 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Edgar de Queiroz was left in no man's land by his defense there! Guaecá MZ's Tiago Gabriel Sanches was substituted for Héctor Bonilla. After 71 played minutes Figueirense FC - FSCMZ got a freekick which was hit by Emerson Botelho. After 76 played minutes Guaecá MZ got a freekick which was hit by Károly Tóth. When the match had gone on for 78 minutes, Dráuzio Montenegro put it in 9-0 from a short distance just to the right of Edgar de Queiroz. An unexpectedly hard shot by Franciszek Serwach in the 82nd minute of play forced Figueirense FC - FSCMZ's goalkeeper Edgar de Queiroz to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Oséas Rocha's late challenge caught a Guaecá MZ's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Oséas Rocha helped the player get up and apologised. After a rather tough play, Figueirense FC - FSCMZ's Oséas Rocha got a free kick in the 96th minute. Guaecá MZ's supporters were delighted with their team's performance and swarmed onto the pitch at the end of the match to celebrate the victory with the players.
