In the 22nd match minute, As de Ouro was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Pedro Augusto Matos to maneuver through the defense. The supporters of MM g booed when As de Ouro was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 25 match minutes in a wonderful position. Pedro Augusto Matos didn't get a good kick on the ball. Samuca Lara showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Gilvan Brito in the 45th minute of the match. Luck had favoured the away team in the first, and they walked off with a 0-4 lead.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Gabriel Paes was the one to do the kick off. After a rather tough play, MM g's Valdemar Barros got a free kick in the 56th minute. After a defensive mix-up in MM g's zone, Jorge Terra stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Mathias Leme came out of the goal and Jorge Terra tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Gilvan Brito struck a weak shot in the 62nd minute. Samuca Lara didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for MM g. Mathias Leme made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from João Carlos Motta in the 64th minute of play. After a rather tough play, MM g's Gilvan Brito got a free kick in the 77th minute. A collision led to MM g getting a freekick after 78 minutes play. Erivaldo Freitas hit a great ball. When As de Ouro's João Carlos Motta in the 79th minute got a chance for a shot 79th didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. In the 87th minute Gabriel Paes shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Samuca Lara saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Mathias Leme took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Serafim Messias, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Gabriel Paes sent away a hard shot on goal in the 94th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. When the final whistle sounded MM g left the ground with the victory after a much better performance than As de Ouro.
