Spectators: 7650 (Terracing: 5739, Seating: 1759, VIP seats: 152) It was fairly windy and cold on the field when Gilvan Porto kicked off to start the match. After 3 minutes, Osvaldo Quintal mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the CUIABÁ EC and the Raiders FC players grew even worse after the yellow card. The supporters of Raiders FC booed when CUIABÁ EC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 3 match minutes in a wonderful position. Osvaldo Quintal didn't get a good kick on the ball. Vivaldo Carvalho came out of the goal in the 4th minute to try and stop a shot by Raiders FC's Teofilo Cayo. But to his dismay, Teofilo Cayo quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 0-1. An unexpectedly hard shot by Teofilo Cayo in the 8th minute of play forced CUIABÁ EC's goalkeeper Vivaldo Carvalho to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Johnny Marco recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 9th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Johnny Marco might have been able to make a better finish in the 11th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Vivaldo Carvalho. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Johnny Marco ran back to his position shaking his head. 13 minutes into the match, Johnny Marco notched a goal, 0-2, to the right of CUIABÁ EC's Vivaldo Carvalho. Vivaldo Carvalho was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. Johnny Marco scored 0-4 in the 26th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Vivaldo Carvalho, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. 30 minutes into the match, Luiz Paulo Queirós had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Dé Arce. Raiders FC's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Luiz Paulo Queirós was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 1-4. Vivaldo Carvalho made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Johnny Marco in the 34th minute of play. After 38 played minutes CUIABÁ EC got a freekick which was hit by Osvaldo Quintal. If Teofilo Cayo had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 42nd minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. In the 42nd minute, Marcel Cruz got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. After 46 played minutes Raiders FC got a freekick which was hit by Cipriano Souto. The long shot by Kléber Peres in the 48th minute really tested Dé Arce's skills. The ball was on its way into the goal to the left of him when he managed to stretch himself and save the shot and avoid a goal. After the first half Raiders FC were leading 1-4. They had played with great self confidence throughout the first half and fully deserved their lead.

The wind increased when Teofilo Cayo made the kick off in the second half. Tony Dionísio kicked well hit freekick during the 52nd minute of the match. Kléber Peres struck a weak shot in the 53rd minute. Dé Arce didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for CUIABÁ EC. After having played for 55 minutes, Teofilo Cayo managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Raiders FC's supporters crossed their fingers, but Teofilo Cayo was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Raiders FC's Dé Arce played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Sandrinho Fonseca in the 56th minute of play. The supporters of CUIABÁ EC booed when Raiders FC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 57 match minutes in a wonderful position. Germano Imholz didn't get a good kick on the ball. After 58 played minutes, CUIABÁ EC's Kléber Peres shot from a long distance, and at first it looked like the ball was going into the goal, but the goalkeeper Dé Arce came through and got his fingers on the ball before it flew over the goal line. He then quickly gripped the ball tighter before the forwards in CUIABÁ EC reached it. After a rather tough play, Raiders FC's Marcel Cruz got a free kick in the 60th minute. Gilvan Porto blasted a shot towards the goal in the 66th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Dé Arce having to make a save. 68 minutes into the match, Johnny Marco dribbled the ball past the defender and swiftly kicked the ball to the left of Vivaldo Carvalho, 1-5. After some careless play in the CUIABÁ EC defense, Teofilo Cayo kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Vivaldo Carvalho. The CUIABÁ EC fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Vivaldo Carvalho should have stopped the shot. Teofilo Cayo's shot straight on target was not completely harmless. The ball had pretty good speed, but Vivaldo Carvalho firmly grabbed it by the left post. The supporters of CUIABÁ EC booed when Raiders FC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 75 match minutes in a wonderful position. Johnny Marco didn't get a good kick on the ball. In the 80th minute Osvaldo Quintal shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Dé Arce saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. In the 82nd match minute, CUIABÁ EC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Jairo Matorin to maneuver through the defense. During the 87th minute of the match Osvaldo Quintal completely mistimed his tackle and brought down his opponent. The referee gave Osvaldo Quintal a yellow card, his second in the match, which meant he could no longer take part in the game. Osvaldo Quintal hit a great freekick 87 minutes into the match. Vivaldo Carvalho was out of position in the 89 minute of play, and Johnny Marco capitalized on the mistake with a soft shot into the goal. Johnny Marco really showed his touch with that goal: 1-7.
