El Progreso fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Virgilio Bihar should have stopped the shot. After a defensive mix-up in C.S.D. y C. El Progreso's zone, Guido Olo stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Virgilio Bihar came out of the goal and Guido Olo tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. In the 36th minute of the match Racing Club got a corner. C.S.D. y C. El Progreso's goalie ran out to the linesman to protest the call, but the linesman resolutely pointed his flag at the cornerflag. Cornelio Henry ran over to the corner to take the kick. Racing Club's Cornelio Henry was first on the ball when the corner was shot and he dangerously headed the ball towards goal, but Virgilio Bihar in the goal jumped up to prevent it from getting in. Guido Olo sent away a hard shot on goal in the 39th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. 41 minutes into the match, Racing Club's goal looked a bit too open when Rigoberto Tanio came free, but Patricio Manni reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Racing Club's Patricio Manni played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Rigoberto Tanio in the 43rd minute of play. After having played for 52 minutes, Freddy Duardo managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. 68 minutes into the match, Guido Olo had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Virgilio Bihar. C.S.D. y C. El Progreso's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Guido Olo was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 0-2. After a rather tough play, Racing Club's Freddy Duardo got a free kick in the 70th minute. Freddy Duardo fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 77th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Virgilio Bihar having to interfere. In the 83rd minute of the match, Victorio Arnalt got a very nice opportunity to score, but Virgilio Bihar was well-placed and pushed the ball away from the goal at the left post. After a rather tough play, C.S.D. y C. El Progreso's Timoteo Ederono got a free kick in the 86th minute. In the 88th minute, Teodosio Lopes made a precise shot to the right of Patricio Manni.
