Spectators: 7079 (Terracing: 5403, Seating: 1656, VIP seats: 20) Racing Club's Jacobo Faron started the match with a crisp pass. The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. Baldomero Abalos charged in rather forcefully in the 3rd minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Baldomero Abalos the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. In the 3rd minute, Baldomero Abalos hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Leandro Bieito had great luck who in the 5thth minute grab hold of the ball when Gerardo Iliana from a short distance tried to put the ball inside the right post. Astor Eufemio kicked well hit freekick during the 6th minute of the match. In the 10th minute, Jacobo Faron got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Haroldo Cheche fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 11th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Nicasio Hitzeder having to interfere. The crowd rose to their feet as Astor Eufemio kicked a wonderful shot that went in to the left of a diving Leandro Bieito. That made the score 1-0 in the 16 minute of play. In the 23rd minute the ball was on its way in behind C.A. Boca Juniors's goalkeeper Nicasio Hitzeder, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. Gerardo Iliana recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 24th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. C.A. Boca Juniors's Nicasio Hitzeder played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Jacobo Faron in the 26th minute of play. When the match had gone on for 39 minutes, Jonatan Vidal put it in 1-1 from a short distance just to the right of Nicasio Hitzeder. Racing Club's Leandro Bieito proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 45th minute of the match, managed to save Racing Club from getting a goal against them. Jonatan Vidal kicked well hit freekick during the 48th minute of the match. The first half was very even, with the score at 1-1 when the whistle went for half-time. The players welcomed the break and quickly retired to the dressing rooms.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Gerardo Iliana to make the kick off. Leandro Bieito made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Gerardo Iliana in the 53rd minute of play. If Haroldo Cheche had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 57th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. When the match had gone on for 59 minutes, Jacobo Faron took a quick shot and it went in 1-2 without a chance for Nicasio Hitzeder to make any attempt to save it. The audience was convinced that Jacobo Faron's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Nicasio Hitzeder was relentless in the 64th minute of the game. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Gerardo Iliana in the 70th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Leandro Bieito saved Racing Club from getting behind. In the 73rd minute, Jacobo Faron got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. A collision led to C.A. Boca Juniors getting a freekick after 75 minutes play. Astor Eufemio hit a great ball. In the 78th minute Raimundo Lugo shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Leandro Bieito saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Raimundo Lugo scored 2-2 in the 80th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Leandro Bieito, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. Esteban Mazuste charged in rather forcefully in the 83rd minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Esteban Mazuste the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. A collision led to Racing Club getting a freekick after 83 minutes play. Esteban Mazuste hit a great ball. After 89 minutes of play, C.A. Boca Juniors's Gerardo Iliana made it 3-2 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Leandro Bieito was left in no man's land by his defense there! Many of Racing Club's supporters were seen to leave the ground early as it became clear their team was going to lose. Racing Club may have spent more time on the ball, but C.A. Boca Juniors were more willing to take their chances and they walked away with the win.
