Spectators: 5000 (Terracing: 4000, Seating: 1000, VIP seats: 0) The field was rather wet after several days of rain when Zacarias Santxol took the kick off in the first half of the match. Celestino Lapurdi received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 21st minute. Honorato Guib tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. After having played for 61 minutes, Celestino Lapurdi managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Astica's supporters rose to their feet, but Aurelio Corderall was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Evelio Cordearo breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. In the 74thth minute of the game Tomas Berdaitz who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Lugano City's Evelio Cordearo was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. Celestino Lapurdi sent away a hard shot on goal in the 79th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Honorato Guib made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Zacarias Santxol in the 82nd minute of play. Adrian Brais charged in rather forcefully in the 84th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Adrian Brais the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. In the 86th minute of the match Cirilo Fernandes shot from a long distance. The ball could have gone into the goal to the right of the goalkeeper, but Evelio Cordearo showed his good shape when he easily got hold of the ball. Tomas Berdaitz's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Evelio Cordearo read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 93rd minute of play. Astica's Aurelio Corderall got a good chance for a goal in the 96th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. The referee blew his whistle, and the match came to a close. The players exchanged shirts and headed down the tunnel. The Astica fans cheered their team off the field, for while Lugano City had put up a good fight, they were unable to come out of the game with any points to show for their effort.
