Aquilino Henric showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Rene Justin in the 5th minute of the match. If Zacarias Santxol had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 6th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. After a defensive mix-up in C.A. CASTIGADORES's zone, Zacarias Santxol stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Aquilino Henric came out of the goal and Zacarias Santxol tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Aquilino Henric showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Celestino Lapurdi in the 10th minute of the match. 11 minutes into the game, Genaro Ekialde was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. C.A. CASTIGADORES's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Lugano City the free kick. When the match had gone on for 13 minutes, Zacarias Santxol put it in 0-1 from a short distance just to the right of Aquilino Henric. C.A. CASTIGADORES's Aquilino Henric played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Benicio Jerrald in the 17th minute of play. Aquilino Henric made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Zacarias Santxol in the 18th minute of play. When Genaro Ekialde was, once again, overly rough in his play he received his second yellow card and was ordered off the ground. 18 minutes had been played. The supporters of Lugano City booed when C.A. CASTIGADORES was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 19 match minutes in a wonderful position. Genaro Ekialde didn't get a good kick on the ball. When the match clock showed 23 minutes, the score became 0-2 when Zacarias Santxol sped through C.A. CASTIGADORES's defense and sent away a curving shot that went into the net to the right of Aquilino Henric. After some fancy dribbling in the 28th minute, Justino Cordareo managed to get in a good position for a shot. C.A. CASTIGADORES's supporters rose to their feet, but Justino Cordareo was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Evelio Cordearo breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Aquilino Henric made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Celestino Lapurdi in the 35th minute of play. When Celestino Lapurdi came up free with the goalie in the 39th minute, the Lugano City fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Celestino Lapurdi couldn't finish the play. In the 40th minute, Zacarias Santxol made a precise shot to the right of Aquilino Henric. C.A. CASTIGADORES's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 0-3.

With his leg Aquilino Henric managed to avoid a goal in the 56thth minute, when Lugano City's Celestino Lapurdi fired away a shot with a lot of spin towards his right hand side. Edgardo Cordera hit a great freekick 57 minutes into the match. In the 60th minute of the match Lugano City got a corner. C.A. CASTIGADORES's goalie ran out to the linesman to protest the call, but the linesman resolutely pointed his flag at the cornerflag. Leonel Blasi ran over to the corner to take the kick. After taking down the ball on Lugano City's corner Leonel Blasi fired away a hard shot, but the defenders efficiently covered the most dangerous angles and Aquilino Henric quite easily take care of the ball. After 61 minutes, Rene Justin mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Lugano City and the C.A. CASTIGADORES players grew even worse after the yellow card. In the 61st minute, Rene Justin hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Cleto Llanos's late challenge caught a Lugano City's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Cleto Llanos helped the player get up and apologised. The referee gave Lugano City a penalty, 66 minutes into the game. The penalty shot was made by Leonel Blasi, who made a well placed shot into the net to the right of C.A. CASTIGADORES's Aquilino Henric. 0-4. In the 70th minute Justino Cordareo shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Evelio Cordearo saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. After 70 minutes, Ceferino Unax mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Lugano City and the C.A. CASTIGADORES players grew even worse after the yellow card. Justino Cordareo took the ball and in the 82 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Evelio Cordearo. Evelio Cordearo dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 1-4. After having played for 90 minutes, Celestino Lapurdi managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Lugano City's supporters crossed their fingers, but Celestino Lapurdi was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Justino Cordareo scored 2-4 in the 97th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Evelio Cordearo, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. The C.A. CASTIGADORES supporters were disappointed that their team didn't take anything from the match, despite matching Lugano City's performance. The match ended with a win for Lugano City.
