The referee ignored Tobuna AFC's protests and gave Victorino Gines a yellow card for diving instead. A collision led to Tobuna AFC getting a freekick after 12 minutes play. Tobuna AFC's supporters crossed their fingers, but Basilio Nofre was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. The supporters of Quilmes FC booed when Tobuna AFC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 22 match minutes in a wonderful position. Cornelio Nisio didn't get a good kick on the ball.
