Mauricio Transito took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Hermengildo Basajaun, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. After 10 played minutes Nickson FC got a freekick which was hit by Eleuterio Beremundo. Mauricio Transito made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Eleuterio Beremundo in the 15th minute of play. 17 minutes into the match, Hermengildo Basajaun notched a goal, 0-1, to the right of Ardiles's Mauricio Transito. Mauricio Transito was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. The supporters of Nickson FC booed when Ardiles was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 21 match minutes in a wonderful position. Placido Perfecto didn't get a good kick on the ball. Atilano Romelio hit a great freekick 24 minutes into the match. 0-2 became the score in the 27th minute when Hermengildo Basajaun elegantly shot the ball into goal just under the crossbar. An unexpectedly hard shot by Eleuterio Beremundo in the 30th minute of play forced Ardiles's goalkeeper Mauricio Transito to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. In the 31st minute Hermengildo Basajaun shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Mauricio Transito saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Mauricio Transito came out of the goal in the 33rd minute to try and stop a shot by Nickson FC's Hermengildo Basajaun. But to his dismay, Hermengildo Basajaun quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 0-3. When Nickson FC's Eleuterio Beremundo in the 36th minute got a chance for a shot 36th didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. A beautiful save bye Ardiles's goalie prevented a goal. 37 minutes into the game, Nickson FC's Hermengildo Basajaun nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Mauricio Transito made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 0-4. Hermengildo Basajaun took the ball and in the 41 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Mauricio Transito. Mauricio Transito dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 0-5. Ardiles's Mauricio Transito played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Eleuterio Beremundo in the 46th minute of play.
The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Geronimo Solustiano to strike the kick off in the second half. The audience thought a goal was coming when Hermengildo Basajaun got free with Mauricio Transito in the 52nd minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Nickson FC's Horacio Paz got a good chance for a goal in the 53rd minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. In the 56th minute of the match, Eleuterio Beremundo got a very nice opportunity to score, but Mauricio Transito was well-placed and pushed the ball away from the goal at the left post. 61 minutes into the match, Ardiles's goal looked a bit too open when Hermengildo Basajaun came free, but Mauricio Transito reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Mauricio Transito made a fantastic save in the 62nd minute, when Eleuterio Beremundo sent off a good shot on target. Edgardo Mincho sent away a hard shot on goal in the 63rd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. The audience thought a goal was coming when Eleuterio Beremundo got free with Mauricio Transito in the 65th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Eleuterio Beremundo could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 72nd minute of the match, but Mauricio Transito made a huge save. The crowd rose to their feet as Hermengildo Basajaun kicked a wonderful shot that went in to the left of a diving Mauricio Transito. That made the score 0-7 in the 73 minute of play. An unexpectedly hard shot by Hermengildo Basajaun in the 76th minute of play forced Ardiles's goalkeeper Mauricio Transito to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Eleuterio Beremundo in the 81stth minute had a little luck and got a chance for a shot in front of the goal. Without hesitation aimed to the right of Mauricio Transito, who managed to lunge to the right direction and made a save. In the 82nd minute, Hermengildo Basajaun hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. After some fancy dribbling in the 83rd minute, Edgardo Mincho managed to get in a good position for a shot. Ardiles's supporters rose to their feet, but Edgardo Mincho was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Primitivo Bizen breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. The supporters of Nickson FC booed when Ardiles was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 86 match minutes in a wonderful position. Edgardo Mincho didn't get a good kick on the ball. 87 minutes into the game, Hermengildo Basajaun recieved a splendid long ball, split the defenders, and gently placed the ball to the left of Mauricio Transito. Hermengildo Basajaun showed that you don't have to tear a hole in the net to score, 0-8. In the 91st minute, Nickson FC's Hermengildo Basajaun ran free of his marker and smoothly shot the ball into the goal behind Mauricio Transito. Mauricio Transito yelled at his defense, as they had left him out to dry. 0-9. Mauricio Transito was out of position in the 96 minute of play, and Dalmacio Sol capitalized on the mistake with a soft shot into the goal. Dalmacio Sol really showed his touch with that goal: 0-10.
