After some careless play in the Ceres FC defense, Eleuterio Beremundo kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Abel Teyo. The Ceres FC fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Abel Teyo should have stopped the shot. When Hermengildo Basajaun came up free with the goalie in the 13th minute, the Nickson FC fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Hermengildo Basajaun couldn't finish the play. Abel Teyo was a little too slow when Eleuterio Beremundo got a fine hit on the ball which went right into the goal in the 17th minute. The score was now 2-0. Abel Teyo made an important save on a dangerous shot by Horacio Paz in the 20th minute. Carlos Rios's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Primitivo Bizen read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 34th minute of play. Urbano Gonzo hit a great freekick 36 minutes into the match. Wilfredo Rosio charged in rather forcefully in the 38th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Wilfredo Rosio the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. The supporters of Ceres FC booed when Nickson FC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 41 match minutes in a wonderful position. Melquiades Ofelio didn't get a good kick on the ball. Ceres FC's Abel Teyo proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 46th minute of the match, managed to save Ceres FC from getting a goal against them. Abel Teyo took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Hermengildo Basajaun, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. When the referee blew for the end of the half the home team players were clearly happier, as they went in to the break leading 2-0.

Abel Teyo showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Eleuterio Beremundo in the 95th minute of the match. When the referee ended the match the Nickson FC players were able to celebrate. They had won a fair victory and recieved the ovations of their fans.
