A collision led to Palmas getting a freekick after 5 minutes play. Justino Etxatxu hit a great ball. Gerard Quintero showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Alfredo Hug, who was totally free with the ball in the 13th minute. A hard shot 14 in the game by Blas Ospetsu from a close distance when the talented Honorio Frederico managed to make a qualified save. Palmas's players were relieved. Blas Ospetsu sent away a hard shot on goal in the 20th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. In the 23rd minute, Blas Ospetsu made a precise shot to the right of Honorio Frederico. Palmas's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 3-0. The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Dionisio Txilar to strike the kick off in the second half. When Membrillar FC's Blas Ospetsu in the 52nd minute got a chance for a shot 52nd didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. A beautiful save bye Palmas's goalie prevented a goal. When the match clock showed 53 minutes, the score became 7-0 when Blas Ospetsu sped through Palmas's defense and sent away a curving shot that went into the net to the right of Honorio Frederico. Blas Ospetsu received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 58th minute. Honorio Frederico tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. In the 60th minute Dionisio Txilar shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Honorio Frederico saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Gerard Quintero made an important save on a dangerous shot by Alfredo Hug in the 63rd minute. Palmas were furious when Domingos Peruanton was red carded, 65 minutes into the game, but the referee dismissed their protests. In a very dangerous position, a player in Palmas fell when an opponent tried to get the ball from him in the 64th minute. Penalty! The referee gave Membrillar FC a penalty, 66 minutes into the game. The penalty shot was made by Guaberto Ilixo, who made a well placed shot into the net to the right of Palmas's Honorio Frederico. 8-0. Honorio Frederico didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Dionisio Txilar went, in the 75th minute, to the upper right corner, 9-0 was the resulting score. If Dionisio Txilar had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 79th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Honorio Frederico made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Blas Ospetsu in the 81st minute of play. If Alfredo Hug had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 86th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. 10-0 became the score in the 90th minute when Dionisio Txilar elegantly shot the ball into goal just under the crossbar. Palmas's Honorio Frederico played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Dionisio Txilar in the 96th minute of play. There were very few away supporters still in the ground by the end of the match. Most of them had left early, disgusted by the way their team had been torn apart. Membrillar FC fully deserved thier win.
