Seating: 1000, VIP seats: 0) Dark clouds were building up when the players entered the field. None of the them looked very eager to play. Adrian Eneko started the match with the kick off. Roman Ilixo sent away a hard shot on goal in the 5th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Prudencio Txerran's late challenge caught a BURTON ALBION's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Prudencio Txerran helped the player get up and apologised. In the 10th minute of the game Eriberto Matteo made a throw-in which Sebastian Cordario played forward. After 15 minutes, Sebastian Gaizko mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Covunco and the BURTON ALBION players grew even worse after the yellow card. Victor Santos came out of the goal in the 17th minute to try and stop a shot by BURTON ALBION's Adrian Eneko. But to his dismay, Adrian Eneko quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 0-1. Covunco's Eriberto Matteo managed, thanks to a brazen rush, stole the ball on a throw-in made by Raimundo Lico in the 21 minute of the game. When Igor Gitano fell near the penalty area in the 27th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored BURTON ALBION's protests and gave Igor Gitano a yellow card for diving instead. Higinio Belasko fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 29th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Victor Santos having to interfere. The audience thought a goal was coming when Roman Ilixo got free with Ruben Austin in the 31st minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. With his leg Ruben Austin managed to avoid a goal in the 35thth minute, when Covunco's Roman Ilixo fired away a shot with a lot of spin towards his right hand side. Nunez Videl charged in rather forcefully in the 35th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Nunez Videl the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. BURTON ALBION's Ramiro Joey couldn't find anyone to pass the ball to, so he shot a long shot towards the goal in the 38th minute. The shot went wide which resulted in a goal kick for Covunco. Victor Santos showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Adrian Eneko in the 46th minute of the match. Even after changing tactics the home team jogged off the field with a 0-1 deficit. They would have to work harder if they wanted to turn things around in the second half.
The wind increased when Roman Ilixo made the kick off in the second half. After some fancy dribbling in the 54th minute, Nunez Videl managed to get in a good position for a shot. BURTON ALBION's supporters rose to their feet, but Nunez Videl was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Victor Santos breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. With 58 minutes on the clock, Elpidio Bizi commited a dangerous tackle. The referee had no choice but to show him the red card. Elpidio Bizi hit a great freekick 59 minutes into the match. 60 minutes into the match, Covunco's goalkeeper Victor Santos had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Ramiro Joey. 72 minutes into the game, Raimundo Lico threw the ball into play from the sideline. Covunco's Eriberto Matteo quickly snatched the ball and retained possesion. Covunco's Prudencio Txerran got a good chance for a goal in the 75th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. The supporters of Covunco booed when BURTON ALBION was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 84 match minutes in a wonderful position. Higinio Belasko didn't get a good kick on the ball. Prudencio Txerran recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 87th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Sebastian Gaizko sent away a hard shot on goal in the 89th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. In the 91st minute the ball was on its way in behind BURTON ALBION's goalkeeper Ruben Austin, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. The Covunco supporters were disappointed that their team didn't take anything from the match, despite matching BURTON ALBION's performance. The match ended with a win for BURTON ALBION.
